I recently completed initial construction of my first grow box. I'm including a picture. If you have any advice about what could be improved or added, please post.

More lights. Take down the foil, replace with mylar. Looks like ur set up with a fan and thermometer though, very good:lol:. Size could be an issue if ur not careful with that thing, doesn't look to have a whole lot of height to it.

looks good but yeah more lights. some CFLs would work well and you can get them anywhere almost and are easily set up. i mean a fixture with four bulbs done right could be about $30 or less with bulb prices and they stay really cool. four bulbs will last you a while into it. get 23w bulbs

A few tips i had a grow with 50 plants using fluorescent lighting. they looked great and fully matured and full of thc crystals but the buds were really loose and did not get me very high. with all the effort i could have bought an hps securtiy light at home depot and grown one plant and been more satisfied. my tip to you is get even the 75watt hps from depot and stick er in that space. plus i agree go to walmart in the camping section and pick up a couple mylar emergency blankets to replace that tin foil. keep up the work.

I agree that you should get mylar and replace the foil with it. I would not use any HID lighting because it would get the box way too hot. I would go with CFLs. I bought 42 watt 150 watt equivelant CFLs at walmart for about $9 a bulb. If you could get 2-4 of those bulbs in there you would have all the light you would need, especially with the reflecting mylar on the sides. Just get something on top to reflect the rest of the light downward and you will be set. Good luck..
