Even just a desk lamp should be enough to keep that seedling going. A buddy of mine even keeps plants in the bathroom and just keeps the lights on in there all the time. Plants only need intense lighting for flower, but not to keep them growing vegetation

Then why do they grow so much faster and better when they sprout under the sun? When I'm using a 1000W MH for vegging I'll start seeds under it but twice as far away than the tops of the bigger plants so about 3' away as they sprout. Still bright enough to pin my little light meter.

Weak light = stretchy seedlings that need support and stretched out scrawny plants.

This ^^^ and you need to stop watering it so much and put it into a pot or cup with drainage, once you transplant it into a solo cup or something just bury the seedling up to the base of the leaves , it should bounce back pretty quick

Sorry about that is it an over water issue or the lights being to close?
Not enough light so it's stretching up to try to get closer to what light there is. Obviously very poor lighting when those cotyledons are still yellow a week after sprouting. Should 'green up' in 24 hours.

If it needs support to not lay on it's side then use a thin stick like a bamboo skewer stuck in beside it. First tie a twist tie tightly around the skewer so it will stay in place but can be moved up or down to fit right under the top of the sprout. Then carefully make a loose loop around the stem so it can move around but not fall over. The stem will get stronger after a while then the support can be removed.

Too much wind can dry out the little plant thru windburn so I aim any fan to the corner so air just is moving around a bit. As long as it can stand on it's own I flick them around with a finger so they look a little beat up when I'm done and may be leaning quite a bit but not falling over. That toughens up the stem pretty quick.

Even if it looks too tall and thin before it's growing new nodes that won't matter when it's a foot tall or taller so don't be tempted to bury it deeper when you transplant as you don't want all the lower leaves drooping all around the base cutting off air flow which could lead to fungal infections or the dreaded stem rot if its moist all the time around the base. Great home for fungus gnats too.

Go search for 'cannabis' at PDFdrive.com for all sorts of free grow books. Same as you get at the store but on your device.

Good luck!

I disagree but my experiences are different from yours... different strokes for different folks :)

It did seem to be a light issue in my case the drooping of the stem occured when the lights were off for about 6 hours as soon as it got some light it perked straight back up no more drooping I think instead of a 18/6 on off time I will leave the light on all day all input is appreciated thanks.

Hello all does anyone have any idea on how to remove fungus gnats from jiffy pellets should I remove the entire root from the jiffy and replant ? There is around 3 gnats as far as I can see can't see any larvae.
