First Grow, in the Philippines

Havent seen anyone in here growing from the phils. Am I the only one? Am currently waiting for my package of De Sjamaan's Purple Widows from EDIT. I'm really excited about this grow. I have been PRACTISING on a bunch of bag seeds, they are 6 weeks old (that means I can't really call the purple widow my first grow but it would be my first grow on a hybrid strain).

It is very hard to find top notch strains in my city, most of the stuff that are sold are mostly schwagg. Schwagg with seeds. I'd probably be the only gal in the city with a purple strain if all goes well! Haha

So far the schwaggs are doing good, I had a 100% germ rate of 6 seedlings. Different phenos (not surprised), but still hoping to have at least one female. I grow them outdoors by the way. There's lots of sunshine in here and I wouldn't wanna waste it! Uptown village, backyard growing, good neighborhood, everybody minds their own business--it wouldn't be a problem.

I also plan to grow the Purple Widows outdoors. I made myself familiar with the strain by reading several grow logs in forums. I don't really rely so much on the seed sellers and seedbank reviews...

Anyhow, this is just an opening, sort of a pre-grow log. Anticipation.

Hope I can get help from you guys!

I'm really excited!

where i'm from we only get dirt weed as well wit plenty of seeds. its a great reason to grow hybrid strains cuz the kb is world class. the schwagg only givs headaches although if it was grown n cured as a sensimellia crop then the bud is really good so take care of ur schwagg plants too. Also don't forget that many of the posts here are from cooler climate countries so there may be variations on how u should care for the plant, livin in a warmer and more humid climate. I liv in se asia n i find that growin is best done durin the end of the year where the sun is strongest n less rain. good luck

What are the laws like there regarding cannabis? i would think they would be very harsh.

wow I would never grow in the Philippines, there laws are too harsh
Yeah but mostly only for those who grow it to fund organised crime. The dea here only goes after gangsters. People here get busted through tip-offs and buy-busts. Plus, we don't have prying helicopters and heat-seeking contraptions here in the phils. So, as long as I keep my grow very discreet and personal, am not worried. :)

Where i'm from its a high penalty 4 foreigners. For nationals its a type 5 narc which means its the least offensive. I've read that u must be in possession of 10 keys to be considered a dealer. As 4 growers, i'm not sure. I think livin in an underdeveloped country allows for more freedom. Not like the US where they can check ur electricity bills, garbage, etc. Farmers like it here. :bigjoint:

In my region, the weather is nice alll year long. It rains at most three times a week during the rainy season, and that's it. I plan to put them in pots anyway because I do anticipate the rains. But when its not raining, the sun shines really bright and it is really good. And for safety, am only going to germinate 6 seeds. I hear the Purple Widow grows fine in my climate :)

We have loads of party islands lol Maybe youre talking about the most popular one, its called Boracay. But I wouldnt recommend it. Not to be mean to fat, balding, middle-aged white guys, but the place is just teeming with fat, balding, middle-aged white guys.

There are better party islands for potheads and surfers, but we keep it on a low-profile... bongsmilie
