ur better off. the hood is better quality than that cool tube ever could be at that price. u can rock that hood and then just upgrade the ballast later and just keep it around for emergencies. always have an extra flower ballast if possible. never know when shit is going to hit the fan so its better to be prepared. i have an extra 1000 bulb too. just in case the one im using is going to take a crap on me.
for the money its a fabulous deal. are u trying to swap the bulbs out for lower wattage bulbs to save money? is that why ur going dimmable? becuz u cant do that with this ballast. u need to actually fork out the decent cash for a nice one that is dimmable by wattage and not percentage. if thats the case ur better off getting the not dimmable one. save u 30 bucks or so. also if u decide to do that another thing to consider is getting just a separate ballast for veg and just swapping the bulbs and ballasts instead and leaving the hood in place. u can ride this 1000 for a few years if need be before upgrading. a nice 400 watt name brand ballast will run u about 120-200 online but the 5 year warranty is what makes it worth it. depending on quality and brand.
berk we wont ever run out of it then. lmao. ill save half the first harvest for personal and sell the second half to pay the 1000 power bill and nutes and shite like that. think about it dude. mmmmmmmm. blue dream.
