first grow, mothers and cloning

well i decided to start a journal to keep track of what im doing and when i do it. and get some insight from you all. let me start off by telling u about my abused mothers.


i started from seed(just some bagseeds). i started them the first week in april, outside that was my plan, but due to 37 days of straight rain i was forced to move inside or start over(so i move them).then i found out my girl is pregnant so i had to get a bigger place (with big closets) moneys been tight seeing how i was laid off in feb of 09 from my good paying job.

i use mg for soil (big mistake). they were in bad shape due to overwatering and time released nutes.

now i took them in i bought two 4' shop light and 4, 6500k 40 watt flouro's and let them dry out they looked better. i left them under the light and kept them in the same soil for 9 weeks. then i remembered this sight. i read and read and learned alot(but not about pre-flowering). i couldnt understand why the sex didn't show(it didn't know what to look for). so i cut the light down to sex them,7 out of 9 were female. but now what i wanted to clone, read some more. realizing.... that was the wrong way to go about it. they started to flower and clone take longer to root when flowering(didn't know till after)

now to the problems i put the light on 24/0 to trow back to vegg. but there stressed out (like there hole life)growth has stoped for five days and the leaves curling under and looking bad. the main vein turning yellow and the leafs are dark green and stems are red almost purple.

so i spent some money i got a bag of mexican bat guano10-2-1, foxfarm ocean & forest soil, ph up and down and bigger pots and transplant today. we will have to see.

i will POST PIC later need to sleep i work graveyard shift and need to sleep been up for 20 hours.

if u can notice(pics are not that good) the under growth were i want my clones are lime green and wilting and cruling.

the big fan leafs tips are curling and drying out.

some of the big fan leaves are really dark green and curling.

some leaves the veins are becoming lighter green than the rest of the leaves

any help would be awsome +reps

Hey man, they are looking pretty good for all they have been through. I would just let them be for a few days and let them get over the stress of transplanting and I'm sure they will bounce back. You could throw some cfl's in there and set them lower to help the bottom leaves get some light.

i'm on a small buget to, i had to trow some money in them, they were starving and were root bound. the tall one in the back on the left, i bent over so i could drop the lights. i can't afford to get any light right now. i'm thinking of 2 more 4' and 4 more 4' tubes. but that's the next thing on the list, along with a 600w hps. i just got a better paying job. just have to pass a drug test. i have a friend thats clean for that.

i added a 150w hps security light(in hope that it would help my limp clone sites) my friend hooked me up

i'm reverting back to vegg. after i cut light down to 12/12(to show sex).

will the red spectum from the hps slow the process of returing back to vegg

Sweet man, good luck. Once I get some decent cash flow I plan on getting a good hps light myself. Once I leave here again (currently I'm back with my parents) I'm going to build a decent sized grow room and really get some buds going.

i took some clones today, i used(general hydroponics) rapid rooter, with a dip of dyna-grow root gel.

ive never cloned before so i can use some pointers. the dome has vents on the top(4 nickel size holes) is that enough air flow or should i burp it.

how hot can i let it get in there

heres some new pic i changed my set up i was using my bud room for a vegg room(temporary). now i need to set my bud room

theres something goin on with one of my plants. not sure.... but i think its magnesium def.


it started with little dots along the veins and then on the whole fan leaves. its only on the older fan leaves, and each node(same set)
