First grow- PC Grow Case (GHS Lemon Skunk)

This is my first attempt at growing. I am at two weeks today, since the seed was planted. The strain I am growing is a Green House Seeds, feminized lemon skunk. I built the case from a brand new server case, it is 21" high and 8" wide. The case is lined with mylar sun reflectors, and is cooled by 5 computer fans. The lighting is 4 6500k CFL's for veg, and 4 2700k for flowering. they are mounted on a powerstrip that I attached to very strong rare earth magnets, so it can be adjusted.

The seeds were started in peat plugs, from my local hydro shop. The soil is FFOF mixed with extra perlite. I am watering with well water that has a PH of 6.7. The nutes I am using are all from General Organics,(BioThrive grow and bloom. I just gave the plant its first dose of nutes today, so I can't comment on its effectiveness yet.

I am planning on doing a SCROG to maintain a level canopy. I have not encountered a problem with stretching yet, which is good because I want to keep things as short as possible. I did some minor lst today, to keep her short and to have more budsites when I put the screen on. I plan on fimming her as soon as the fourth node starts.


I have learned so much from reading this forum, and hope to help others who are interested in doing the same type of setup. I will gladly take any suggestions; this is my first grow, and I am learning new things everyday.

Looking good. Is that a type of carbon filter over the two fans in the middle? Are the other two fans on the opposite side? Are you 12/12 from seed?

Those are 2 fans that are covered by thin ac filter. The two intakes are on the bottom right side. The filter does not provide odor control, it's just to protect the leaves. I am still on 24 hours of light. I will go to 12/12 in a few days once I fim and it recovers from the lst.

Ahh nice, it's not the Auto Lemon skunk is it? I'm curious as to how much odor that girl puts out... cause i know it'll put some out but i'm not sure how much since it's a small grow compared to a big field lol.

No it's not an auto. Hopefully it won't outgrow the case. I fimmed it this morning at the fourth node, I hope I did it right. I guess I will know in a couple of days. I can't comment on the stink yet, but I will let you know when flowering starts. I have a couple of ideas in mind to keep the smell under control. I will be switching to 12/12 tonight, I know this strain is a pretty big stretcher. I will take some more pictures tonight or tomorrow.
