Hey guys, so this will be my first post on here hope you all can help me. But i recently purchased a pack of greenhouse femenized seeds, and i am growing great white shark and white rhino.I got them in 3 gallon pots with Foxfarm ocean forest mix

Im growing in an indoor closet that is probably 4x6 and 8 foot high, and the walls are coated in mylar. Im using a 400w hps bulb(all i got for this grow, until i get MH) with a hood. However the hood is not air cooled at the moment so it gets pretty hot when the light is on.I do not have a digital thermometer so im not sure what the real temp is but my regular one reads up to 90,and i have read thats max temp for weed. I have a oscilating fan running 24/7 pointed up at the light, and giving the plants a gentle breeze also. So far its about week 3 or 4 of veg in a 18/6 light schedule.

The problem im having is the tips of my leaves on my White Rhino are brown and dying and there is also some yellow spots on them. The great white shark isnt as bad but it also has some brown tips as well on 2 of its leaves. I haven't used any fertilizers yet, because it is my first grow.so I do not think its a nute burn(could be defeciency however). Also i have been watering my plants about once every 3 days, whenever the top 2-3 inches of the soil is dry i water until i see it coming out the bottom. I have my light about 34 inches away from plants because i think it may be a heat issue i did have the light closer. Id like the lastly state this could just be me freaking out cuz its my first grow, but i hope that isnt the case and there is a way to make my babys look better :D Any help would greatly be appreciated as im looking to maximize my grow <3

Excuse me if the pics are bad quality they were taking with my droid phone.

also re reading they could also be burning a little bit from the fox farms, theyll acclimate quickly tho, no worries plain water for the next 2 weeks at least

Hey thanks for replying all, ive been giving them bout a .5 L of water every time i water. Ill try raising my lights more even tho they r at 3 feet about already. Also i do not have another oscilating fan that i can put in there , is it ok to put just a regular stand up fan in there?

Try leaving the door open if possible until you figure out a way to suck some heat out. Extra light won't hurt in veg. I veg 24/7.

hey johnny thanks for the reply, does leaving the door open during dark time matter too? i do not go in there to manually to turn off my light, i have it on a timer so the door would still be left open during the 6 hours of dark and might get light in it, that wont matter during veg?

correct, the most important thin is to keep them stable while flowering, no light leaks... in veg.. there resilient, lil bitches and will/ can take almost anything u can throw at them... but remember theyre bitches they dont need ALOT of love... lol

maybe moisten/ mist them with some water or your temps are just outta controll and you need to shut it down untill sept/october when it cools off or get and exaust fan

You should water more then every 3 days and i would try just a little bit of nutrients, i usually water every day and fertilize every other day

I do not want to shut it down because my plants will die :(. Ive read misting them with water is bad because once it evaporates it leaves hot spots. if thats not true, i will try that.

You can mist them just before the lights go out and no hot spots Do not water every day unless you don't like your plants. Definitely do not fertilize every other day. Thats just stupid.

Could be airflow, light positioning or lack of moist our to leaves, Air more with a fan possibly, move light up away from the plant more and moisten the leaves none of these could do harm and if it solves the problem great
