First Grow Second Attempt :)

Changed the res yesterday and flipped them to 12-12. I couldn't decide between using all 3 GH nutes and the Lucas method, but wound up just leaving it like I had during veg. So I am using all 3 of the GH Flora nutes at a teaspoon per gallon along with hydroguard at 2 ml/gallon.

I also could not decide on defoliating so I did a touch of the biggest leaves on the top and several on the bottom of each plant...nothing drastic but will help get a little more light from the top and some air movement on the bottom. The light is pretty close, I may raise it up a couple of inches although they don't seem to mind.

Day 9 of Flower now. I am still pulling most everything under the net each day, I'll do that until day 21 probably.

As far as nutes, I have increased just a tad but am still using equal parts of all three, ppm is running about 790 on average, ph is staying steady at 6.0. They seem to be drinking about 2 gallons a day between the 3 plants. Air temp is staying in 70s all day/night, water temp staying 67-69 all day/night.

Here is a pic of them. The 2 Ghost Train Haze #1 are in the back. The front plant is Chocolate Skunk, I am starting to get her all the way over into that empty spot.

Seems to be going fairly well....so far lol

Day 18 of Flower was yesterday. I had been tucking pretty much each day but took Wednesday off. Thursday I was met with a whole slew of pistils so I did not tuck anything, pulled a few of the larger fan leaves off to expose bud sites under them and called it good. I have my net set about 9" above the top of the totes, the plants have pushed it up a little bit in the center but just a few inches. Today it looks like everything is about 3-6" above the net. Hopefully the stretching part is close to finish. There is still room to raise my light another 20 inches so I hope it will be good.

Everything else is staying the same for the most part. ppms have gone to raising ever so slightly each day. Say from 800 to 810 in a day. I am replacing about 4 gallon almost every day now and trying to put the same amount in. Probably will do a res change this weekend and start clean then.

Kind of getting excited now, just gotta wait....and wait....

Day 18 from the front of the tent. This front plant is the Chocolate Skunk, the pair of Ghost Train Haze #1 are in the back 2 totes. 2 fans blowing across the top of the canopy.

I am trying to keep the underneath pretty clear of everything. I didn't do enough trimming and training when they were seedlings so it is kind of thick down there with branches. I have a fan underneath of each side blowing.

Overall I think so it looks ok....at least I haven't killed em yet.

Ok, question on sexing for you experienced folks. This is really my first grow so I don't have a clue exactly wth I'm doing. lol I'm glad that it appears to be going ok but I may have an issue brewing. All of these seeds were feminized as I knew I was doing a scrog and did not want to have to mess with removing a male later.

There are 2 Ghost Train Haze #1 and a single Chocolate Skunk. The CS sprouted probably a good week ahead of the other two. One of the GTH sprouted maybe 4 days or so before the other also, I did not keep track enough to know which of the 2 sprouted first at this point though. I do know which one is the CS.

What I am calling "prebud" sites or pistils is showing up on 2 plants but not the third at all yet. The CS was the first one to start showing some white hairs and the next day one of the GTH started showing. Within about 2 days, they were actually looking pretty good. That is when I started noticing that one of the GTH does not have a single place like this. There were a few prebud sites (is there a word for this???) around the edges but when I tracked them down they are coming from the other 2 plants. Still not a single one from one of the plants.

Here are overhead pics of them.

Here are some pics from the GTH #1 that is not showing any prebud sites yet. Could it just be behind a couple of days? Just this morning it seems like I can see the beginning of some white hairs, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part. Thoughts??

Day 59 of Flower here now. Things still seem to be moving along ok. This is beginning of week 9 of flower for my first ever 3 ladies. I did realize that throughout the grow I had the plants mislabeled, no biggie. I have been keeping the ph between 6.0 and 6.2 and ppms have been between 720 and 760 for the most part. Still putting the hydroguard in there each time.

The thing that is weird to me is in the picture below, GTH #1 plants are the front left and back right in this picture. The plant in the back left is Chocolate Skunk. One of my seeds never popped so I had an open spot on this run. My theory was to place them like this due to the reputation of GTH #1 stretching as much as it does that those 2 plants would totally fill in the 4th spot. They almost did, but the Chocolate Skunk just KEPT ON STRETCHING. I probably will get less weight on my 2 GTH because the light had to be kept so far above them... oh well, it's all good.
Flower Day 59.jpg

The picture below is the GTH #! plant that is the front left. I am curious, I ran a scrog and this plant did not have a single stem shoot up from the rest. In the picture above, the back right plant is the same thing, but there are several stems that shot on up another 8" or so. Will those buds have a lot more on them than the ones below? I can't see how the light gets to the buds below if they are not right on the surface.

And now we have the "how much longer" thought going through the rookies head. The following shots are all Ghost Train Haze #1 buds. The Chocolate Skunk appears to me to almost be 3 weeks behind these two, surprised me. Everything I've read about people growing GTH is that it takes 10 to 12 weeks. These are on day 59 of flower today. I have not purchased anything to look at these with so these pictures are all just with my phone.

Any comments / advice welcome. Like I said, this is my first grow.

Lol that tent is jammed.

The close up pics look like they are fox tailing. So they are possibly stressed. But I can't say why they would be. Some may say "the 2nd spurt of white hairs" but I say that is from stress.

You got a long long way to go. Keep at it. You will get there eventually.

Yea it is pretty full. I had to rig up a way to keep the stretchy one from blocking the light. It will probably have to run at least 3 weeks longer than the other. They could be stressed, not sure why they would be at this point in time. PH, ppm, tent temp, water temp have all stayed right where they should but who knows. Like I said, first grow. I'm gonna get some buds out of it but will do better next time.

Ok, so obviously the 2 GTH will be harvested well before the other plant. I picked up a macro lens for my phone today to get pics of trichomes to see how that is occurring. For the most part, the white hairs, pistils, are almost all brown so I figured it was time to start peeking at the trichomes. And I realize now that my hands are not very steady lol.

From my reading I am looking for about 15% amber before I cut? That would have the biggest majority of them being white/cloudy and about 15% of them still being clear. Is this a decent plan? Better one would be.....what?

Here are a bunch of pics if you wanna take a look and let me know am I looking at another week, 2 weeks, month? Just trying to ballpark it right now so I can plan a fishing trip. I have also read that when they are ready the fan leaves will turn yellow? The plants will stop drinking? These have not really even slowed down on the drinking amount.

Day 77 of flowering for these Ghost Train Haze #1 plants from Rare Dankness purchased from @JBCSeeds. To my, "first grow eyeballs", they look like they have to be getting close. Today marks 11 weeks of flowering. The branches that are higher than the majority of the buds, look really heavy and are starting to lean quite a bit from the weight. I am posting 5 pictures in this post trying to show the entire plants/canopy. The fan leaves are beginning to turn a different color, slightly yellowish. On the next post I will post a few more pics of the buds themselves.
