All fem'ed plants have at least a tendency to herm just because their genetics are a touch wonky. The ultimate way to go is with a clone of a strait up female plant, and then just clone and clone and clone a sea of green, the way I usually do it is with fem'ed seeds because I'm growing so few plants that I need to guarantee I have gals. or my stash runs dry, and, well, I've honestly not had to face that problem yet so I don't know how much that might make me whine and fuss.

Great info. All part of my "higher education" (oh snap... Did he just type that? Yeah bro. He did).

Sorry if we sidetracked. Loyalty didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Btw. Will be putting up pics on a newthread on my first grow, the cab,and my 2 new seedling ladies. Comments and ideas encouraged! Need to find an exif wiper before I post the pics. Any ideas?

Makes sense to me.. Didn't realize that they took the pollen from those plants. I thought they allowed it to self-pollinate but using it on a non-stressed female makes a lot more sense.

Thanks man good info!

you couold be right, like i said im no pro on the subject just got interested one day and read a lil bit

Update: Day 7 Flower

Hey everyone. 7 days into flower yesterday! Here are some pictures from last night. First are my clones. See how rough they are looking now? A lot of yellowing, bright yellowing on the clones. The smallest clone has even turned white where it was yellowing bad. Wtf is that about? I think tonight or tomorrow (whenever I build my veg cab) I'll throw them into some solo cups with some soil and see if they do any better...hmmm....oh well. Maybe Ill plant my blue cheese and blue dreams bagseed and try to get those going also. Also, my standard group shots of the girls. My canopy is wall to wall and very dense. My next run i think i may only put 4 plants in, 5 at most. 6 is just too crowded! Hasn't started throwing out any hairs really yet. Just the ones it already has are getting really long :).
Looks great man nice colours! Things are nice and packed in there but very even canopy should produce some killer dense nuggies.

I wouldn't worry about your clones in my uneducated opinion... I abused the hell out of mine .. had them under a 250w MH (way too strong I think) with no humidity dome or anything and they got really crispy. I've still got them under the 250 but under a humidity dome now and they are bouncing back (slowly but surely), I'm even starting to see some new growth.

Thanks as always dude! I'm not too concerned about the clones. If they live, awesome! If they don't make it, oh well. I still have some bagseed and will be ordering some next month. So, ill try my hand at the clones again at that point :)!

Hey loyalty dont trip about the clones, most clones turn the bottom leaves yellow and for the most part eat them and use them as energy to bust roots from my experiences and also what ive read, but i know u said how they were but how much have they streched since flipping over 7 days ago?

They have only stretched roughly 4" in the first week. Is that about the norm? I suppose every strain or even pheno is different....

Hey bro, that t5 setup would be fine. But I would roll with the 2-150mh. Each mh puts about 14,000 lumens. 28,000 total lumens vs. 5,000 for the t5. Unless each t5 was 5,000 lumens(?), then they would be about the same. How many watts does the t5 setup draw? Either way, I would say mh. For nothing else the better penetration and coverage. But either setup works. Just my 2c

The t5 setup draws 316 watts for a total of 30000 lumens but ive always read that 5000 lumens is just that so even if u got 6 bulbs that are 5000 lumens that is what ur plants will get not 30000 lumens like a hid but just seperated lumens multiplied by 5000 if this makes sense to everyone.
