Thanks man! like i said before, i would've been super happy with just 2 oz. but once i saw 4.4 my mind was blown!great work alex! 4.4 ounces is great! and like ya say im sure ya could have even pulled more but i would be very happy with that! cant wait to see what ya got in store for the next grow

awesome, I'm growing ch9 jack also and tommorow will be the start of week 9 of 12/12. I wish I would've scrogged my jack also, but I got her looking super funky and the nugs are dense. Again congrats on your grow tho!

hows the warranty on those vipars? Also - if you think that light is bright, you should look into black dog led's. They are the best leds on the market hands down. A little pricey but you get what you pay for - and a lifetime warranty is hard to beat.

For $420 black dog you get 135 true watts in a brighter 5w reduced area or for $240 you can get 100 true watts Vipar A100 3w in a larger area just not as intense footprint.
worth roughly double the price? you judge. Lifetime warranty...will they even be around in a few years...who knows...

3 years warranty is more than enough for a light that can pay itself off in a few months. besides, after seeing the quality of its build, the last thing on my mind is worrying about a warranty and having a problem with the light. ive never really heard of black dog or seen many topics/journals about it pop up to jude, but as far as best led light goes and seeing my latest batch of La Confidential, i dont think be switching to any other company in near future

Hey budman111, Power is only a part of the equation, arguably just as important for yields and especially quality, the spectrum is also very important. I don't see anything on the Vipar product pages about the spectrum. Do you know anything about their spectrum? I did notice that they use 60 degree lenses which should not give you a larger area, they should in fact give you smaller area of intense light. The Black Dog LED lights use 120 degree lenses to get a good footprint while keeping the light close so power is not wasted.
Let us know if you know anything about their spectrum.
Oh yeah, and Black Dog LED is one of the oldest LED grow light companies out there, not going anywhere

Not familiar with them so I don't know if the white is new but yes budman, the light from the whole fixture wouldn't be white (most likely more reddish) but those individual LEDs would look white. Of course you should not be looking directly at the light without eye protection. We actually use welding glasses to look at our LED lights.

Yeah it should look warm white........BUT like Perro said ^^^^use eye protection when checking the panel!!!! tell us If you see any, I really think they must have just added them

Nah those "UV" diodes should be dim to the eye...... the warm white led should be the brightest compared to red and blue to the eye....sneaky bastards didn't mention changing the specs on the site. They added the WW leds to "balance" the vipar's spectrum and add far red. good move IMO...

Agreed, depending on the sunglasses budman dug out and how far the UV is they may actually look like they aren't even working. The white would stand out and they would definitely help balance out the spectrum with the few wavelengths they were using before. Would love to see their full spectrum on a spectroradiometer.

It appears that Vipar has upgraded their panels and the 3000K is a new addition. I just bought an A300 and there are some physical differences between it and with the case on their website, i.e. a new power switch with a different placement. The A300 I own has no UV or white, but does have FR 730nm which is not listed anymore. Guess they decided to use an white for FR/IR supplementation.
Edit: They're also saying the viewing angle is set at 80 degrees. Mine is set at 60 I believe.
