FIRST HYDRO JOURNAL - Armageddon - Motivation

Sorry for all the questions... But how do you get the buckets to drain back into your reservoir?

Word im gonna go add some superthrive to her right now!

Gravity.....I have a T fitting at the very bottom of the buckets all connected with a tube that leads back into the res.

Questions are what this website is all about man! Get the smallest pump you can if you use a pump to get water to the tops of the plants. My pump pumped faster than my buckets drained so I had to stuff some filter material in the intake to slow down the flow.

I just checked on them and YEAH use superthrive! They noticeably bushed out since last night! I just used a half dose, I might throw in a little more and see how they do.

Then in the upper part of my cab i have 3 purple jems autoflowers, 1 northern lights auto flower, 1 pakistan ryder auto, and 1 lowryder #2 auto going..


Alright im going to go give that motivation some right now.. Im stoked your growing motivation, we should harvest within a few weeks of eachother, it will be cool to contrast and compare!

Yeah I bet yours will be better than mine because all of my buckets are connected so I can't customize nutes for her specifically. She's like half the size of the rest of my plants but I don't want to risk messing up my other 3 monsters lol. Anyways yeah hit me up with pics or whatever, those autos are fun! I grew a Barneys Farm flower power last grow and it was awesome. I'm especially interested in the lowrider #2! Do you have a journal? Keep me posted! When are you planning on flowering the motivation?

Yeah it def is a benefit to set the different nute levels but honestly its such a pain in the ass to add ice to 5 different reservoir 2-3 times a day lol.. Its a fucking obligation to, its like shit i wanna go chill with some friends after work but i gotta go home to switch out the ice or ill get gnarly root rot, i have to plan everyting around when im going to be able to switch the ice..

But i hear ya i wouldnt want to mess up the other ones either, i would hate to loose 3 plants to grow one faster.. unless maybe you had 3 shit plants and one dank strain but know thats not the case lol..

Yeah man the auto flowers are really nice right now, i have a cab thats 6.5 feet tall, 2 feet deep, 3.5 feet wide so what i did was split it into two sections, an upper section and a lower section, the lower section im scrogging under the 400w hps, the upper cab im growing all autoflowers..

The lowryder#2 looks the best out of the purple jems and the pakistan ryder so far.. whats weird is in a way i accidentally topped her, One night she stretched right into the light and it burnt the main cola to a crisp. at first i was like oh shit this autoflower is gonna be stressed and grow slow and be a low yielder but i was def wrong, it created like 5 different tops on the plants all at equal level.. im hella stoked on it!

I dont have a journal at the moment, i havnt been able to find my camera, i searched for it for a good 2 hours yesterday and couldnt find it anywhere.

Ok I just switched the timer on so they're officially 12/12! The biggest one is about 2 feet and my smallest one is just over a foot tall. I started them now because I only have a single light source and if they get too tall the tops of the plants will block light from the bottoms. Also because I want to smoke a giant doob of my home grown before thanksgiving dinner lol!

Yeah man id def do the same thing, if you wait to long it will def just over shadow the small one and lessen the yield of that plant.


Hella yeah man that sounds good! I always make sure to get super duper baked before thanksgiving..

So I was in my grow room today checking progress and I noticed my air pumps were HOT! A hot pump has to make the air it pumps out through my stones hot too undoubtedly heating the water some in the process also, so I had to figure out a way to cool my pumps. I looked at the pumps and noticed they had an intake nozzle on the bottom/back. Since everything else in my grow room is MacGuyver rigged I decided to connect some hoses to the intakes and lead them to my air conditioning vent so that they draw cold air instead of the hot air next to the pumps. I have to say they feel a lot cooler now and the air coming from the stones is much cooler as well.

Ive actually thought about doing something similar, i was thinking rather then a chiller just putting their air pumps in a min fridge and having them pump the cold air up through, i came to the conclusion that the air bubbles would still be way to cold probably shocking the shit out of the roots... But with your air conditioner i think this would work perfect, rather then my mini fridge pumping super cold air the air conditioner would pump 65 or so degree air which should be fine..
