My big girl is 2 and a half months old. Its just a reg bag seed but it looks pretty good to me... I vegged for 1month and i'm flowering for 2..I'm looking to harvest february 4th. I'm using miracle grow ^_^ its all i had and i haven't used any nutrients. I'm also using 3 2500k CFL's and 1 6500k.The other plant is Hawaiian Durban its about 3weeks old. It was looking good till i switched pots. The leaves started to look bright green and it started to lean really bad. It is also in miracle grow and has been on 12/12 since it started. I would just like you guys to tell me what looks good and bad about it and what things i can change. Thanks

You must need to repot those seedlings, they look sick... You didnt say how many watt bulbs you had, but large plant looks pretty good from what I see. I hope you make your Feb. date. Id like to see some better pictyures of your buds man.

Ya bro those plants look sick... Probably MG soil... I recommend you use a soil that is organic and neutral like FF ocean forest (there are many great soils this one is just an example) this way you can control the nutes. Cfl's will work ok for a plant or two but also you should buy at least florescents or you will get little popcorn buds and not much else. Keep browsing these threads and you will get better with time... Happy growing.

i would def give it some nutrients. Anything Advances Nutrients makes is awesome but there's are many many more. Also, i germinated a seed once and reused soil that i had used from a recent grow and my plant looked just like your sick one. Also check the PH.

thats gotta be it then man (not 100%) but if that soil has received a lot of water regardless during which grow, the roots from the previous plant more than likely took all the nutrients. New plant=new soil. For me at least.

I used MG soil for my grow, everything has been good so far. I've had to flush 2 times due to over nutes. DO NOT ADD NUTES IF YOUR SOIL ALREADY HAS THEM!!!!

Pay attention to the salt build up it can produce though.

idk my dude that last pic looks pretty bad. I would google the nearest hydroponic store and ask what soil they carry. I have 3 around me and they all carry FoxFarm or something similar. Also, they Advanced Nutrients makes a product called "Revive" that usually helps N def. but i've only ready the product information i have no idea if it's a nutrient for the soil or foliage feeding.

I buy the cheap Sta-Green brand with nutes in it, worked fine on my last grow. Its about like MG. After several weeks of growing I supplement with a little water soluble fertilizer.

Miricle grow potting soil has a very low PH , I read you can water with high PH (7.3) to even it out. I read that in the "buds for less" book written by the guru, so whoever wants to argue that can take it up with the author.
miricle grow organic mix has a leveled out PH. that may be your problem with your sick plant. good luck

IMO I would NOT add any nutes if you are using MG soil. you will over fert your plant and kill it. IMO its best to use organic soil and add your own nutes.

Ya I like all the advice you got.... At least use the MG organic soil it will be more neutral... However, Hydro stores online will send out soil, but it does end up costing as much for shipping as it does for the soil... However, 40 dollars worth of soil on htgsupply will get you about enough soil to fill 2 5 gallon pots. It is sooooooo worth it though.... I live in a small town so I googled the closest hydro stores... I have to drive an hour and a half. So when i go to the hydro store I buy like 10 bags of soil lol... With great soil, great nutes, great seeds, great lights, and the amount of information on riu, you have all the ability to grow exquisite buds!

You can get "passable" results from growing a plant, in a coffee can with recycled soil. "Can" and "passable", are the key words. To grow consistently, and to be able have the ability to control issues within your grow, you have to know what is in your soil. Time released nutrients in soil prevent this. When you mix your own nutrients, you have control over the NPK values, micro nutrients, and ph. If you mix up your own soil medium, even better. There are many googleable soil recipes. When I look at your plant I see a N deficiency, or an iron deficiency, or a ph issue causing a nutrient or micro nutrient uptake deficiency, among other issues. I'm not "hatin" on your grow. I think EVERY grow is awesome. Some grows are awesome because of their yield, some for the knowledge that it instills in the grower, and let's face it, It's just an awesome fucking, beautiful, amazing plant. Hear is my tech tip to you. Go through the grow journals, or just surf the site in general. Find a grow that you would like to emulate, (givin, growing circumstances), and hit that user up with a pm, telling them so. 90% of the folks on RIU will get you right. As with any site, there is a 10% asshole ratio to contend with,
Peace bro

I would get a PPM METER and a SOIL PH tester, this will help you know where your at. These are just examples, you don't have to buy these. As everyone stated I wouldn't reuse soil I would definitely get something organic.
