Okay guys so i watched a couple videos and did some research. So correct me if wrong but if i make a 16 bulb lighting fixture wit a metal reflector over top of it wit 6500 CFL's for veg time then half 6500 and half 2700 for flowering that shld be plenty right?

With that many plants you should get in a kw of light for lots of growth and good yield and you are going to have to use like 1500watts of electricity on lights in flowering if you do.... I say you dump some of those seeds if you ain't got too much money to spend but if you have then go ahead :D

Don't get too hung up on yield, but a good analogy I use is to imagine the five main factors in growing, namely, Light, Soil, Water, Feeding, and Ventilation to be a chain,----the weakest link in this chain is how high/low your yield might be. Genetic type is very important too---so--If your strain is agreeable to providing a decent yield in the first place, then your yield will be as much as the weakest link in your chain, so say you have top nothch lights, soil, nutes and good PH'd water, but ventilation isn't the best, then improving ventilation is your key to a better yield, keep improving the weakest link and your grow(s) will also improve.

Kw of light meaning?? Sorry im new to this. But i do have financial ability
1 kw = 1000watts = 8 125w cfls or 4 250w cfls ... I would go with the 250w cfls as they are well... bigger and better but will save you space and give out more lumens.... :D (Hope I'm making sense)

really have to ask this and it may be a dumb ?? but what is the point of you asking about the yield if your not going to grow them to full maturity??
I've vegged for 3 weeks and I'm going to flip to 12/12 in three days (btw I'm doing an experimental grow) just to see how much yield I get so this guy might just be doing the same but I suggest he just starts from 12/12 and he WILL get a decent yield of that compared to a normal grow as the plant won't flower until at least after week3... check some 12/12 grows out for more... I might just do one soon.

Ive been vegetating for almost 3 weeks so far and will have to for 2 more till i get my lighting but i think im just going to buy 2, 4 bulb T5's because a 4 ft. 8 bulb t5 wont fit in my closest by an inch or so

Because I was just curious as to how much i could expect from a medium quick grow. Just experimenting bc i have limited space. I will have to FIM my babies to make them fit and to get bushier also.

you could do 2 2ft 8 bulb and you can place them in this kinda fashion / \ what about a 6bulb or you could do three 2 ft 8bulbs and do a !-! setup two on the sides and one on top there are just so many ways you could go the more light the better really

t5's will def help with that as well be you can just slam the right on the plant well not touching but you get the jist

Hey... I have 3 plants (regular- unknown sex) I have F.I.M.med one, Topped one and am LSTing (Low Stress Training) another to compare the difference between growth patterns... will be throwing in a 30w 2700k cfl tomorrow so the plants slowly get used to that spectrum and they stretch less in flower. (I will be adding some more 2700ks over a period of time... I will add another 28w 2700k cfl 5-9 days later and then a week later another 28w and so on until it totals up to at least 105w 2700k)

I hope this all makes sense to you or it was just a waste of time typing out all this for you :p - BTW I recommend F.I.M.ming if you want bushier growth and 2-3 weeks after doing so you should start LSTing but I'm just fitting everything in now... 2 days left til' flower but I have 1-2 week before the sex starts to show so the plants have plenty of time to go through the recovery phase and develop new growth :D

Again, I hope you understand what I have typed up or it will probably just be a waste of time :D

makes sense i just put in 3 of the biggest cfl's i could find at HD they are 4050 lumens eack at 2700k on top of my T5 4ft 8 bulb just to have the extra, they are happy happy happy

Wait, what?

Since I have a lot of the same issues, I hope you don't mind me asking what the benefit of a T5 is. I already invested in spots and 150 watt CFLs, is the benefit enough that I get a T5 as well?

Also, is a walmart T5 setup fine?
