well....idk what im doing...referring to what im doing on this site. It is kind of confusing so just cut me some slack if im not doing it right.

basically i just started my first real grow. ive grown before but it was kinda janky in a closet type of thing. I made this one out of dry wall and 2x4s. My room is 4'x4' x 7 1/2'.
Growing with a nice mixture of fox farm ocean forest and a few other soils that my local shop mixed up for a cheaper price.
Advanced nutrients Sensi grow a and b. Sensi Bloom a and b. and will use AN Big Bud starting next watering.
Currently i am 1 1/2 weeks into Flowering. I vegged from clones for 7 weeks. Flowered when my tallest was about 2 3/4 foot.
Temp always stays between 69 and 82 degrees. Humidity has always been between 30 and 50%.
400 watt metal halide for veg and now using HPS.

I would top and tie those plants down and get an even canopy next time...not too much you can do now....Also I would cut all the small branches off the bottoms of those plants and turn them into clones.

You won't yield shit off that bottom stuff, too far from light and it will be a few grams of airy fluff..better off turning that into clones for the next run..but top those clones and train the canopy ..Pineapple express loves to be topped and tied..real easy to clone too.

It is not too late though to do this....drill a small hole in the top of that bucket...and tie one end on the top cola and every few days tighter it up a bit so it grows horizontally.

What corso said and also I'd move the light a bit closer. Your plants look a bit stretched. For a 400w in an air cooled hood you want to get it down to like 8 - 10 inches away from the top. This will match the PAR intensity of a tropical sun without the chance of it bleaching the plant with too much light.

My hood isn't air cooled that's kind of why I leave it so high...you think I would still be safe to move it down a bit?

You're off to a good start. I'd say you've avoided the worst mistakes newbies generally make and you're well on your way to growing some truly impressive plants.

The advice here is all good. I agree that some clones from the lower branches are a good idea. You're not going to get good light penetration down there so the plants are basically wasting energy growing those branches. If you lop them off near the stem you'll have some excellent cuttings for clones and your plants will be free to concentrate their energy on the parts that will grow you nice buds.

You're using one of my favorite nutrients and you're not overdoing it. Kudos for that, I see too many newbs buying a dozen bottles of stuff thinking that's the key to growing massive plants.

I would also recommend doing some LST.

As far as light height goes, put your hand at the same level as the top of the plants, palm down. If the light feels like it's burning your hand, it's too close. Otherwise you can consider lowering it. Just keep an eye on your temps too. And for the first day after lowering it watch your plants carefully for signs of heat stress. Getting enough light is critical to getting good growth, but like with your nutes it doesn't take very much of "too much" to really screw things up so be careful.

those plants are gonna get fukn huge hahah they grow 2-3 times for flower, dive into the topping and lst and other methods to tame those wild beasts! they look great though man. your gonna have a nice yield even if u trim those girls down. by cutting off a portion of the plant the energy that would have been used for that weak low branch is not lost just sent to the colas above to make em even tighter. good luck man!
