Hey guys, as the title says.. first mix, first grow... Exciting times ahead! Sorry for yet another "Can you check out my mix" Thread but well.. Can you check out my mix please? Seems like being a pothead and doing math at the same time isn't my strong suit and I need to be sure i'm not screwing up my mix so I'm asking all you good people.

Thank you!

1 question.. Do I really need the all purpose or should i ditch it and add to my other ratios?

for 30 gallons / 4 cubic feet of base soil

Canadian peat moss - 10 gallons
Perlite - 10 gallons
Quality worm castings - 10 gallons
Dolomitic limestone - 4 cups
Glacial rock dust - 16 cups
Kelp meal - 4 cups
Neem meal - 2 cups
Crab meal - 2 cups
Alfalfa meal - 2 cups
All purpose - 2 cups - Brand GaiaGreen NPK 4-4-4 ingredients alfalfa meal, bone meal, blood meal, glacial rock dust, mined potassium sulphate, fossilised carbon complex, rock phosphate, greensand, kelp meal, and gypsum.

I'm new to soil mixing. Not sure about your question but 16 cups of rock dust sounds like a lot. Where did you get 16 cups information from?

Honestly, from a thread on another forum... the reason I am asking here is for more advise and opinions.

Grasscity easy organic soil mix for beginners.. very reputable thread but outdated... the OP says to use 2-3 cups total amendments and 4 cups rock dust per cubic foot of soil...
