First Scrog. 1 plant, 600 watt 4x4

Hello all- how am I doing?

(1) Northern Lights X Big Bud

4x4 tent, 600 Watts, DWC.

45 days old from seed (give or take a few days)

30x30" wide and 7" tall.

Shooting for 12 oz minimum but anything over a pound would be awesome. This is my 3rd grow but my first scrog. I feel like things are going pretty good but I was wondering if there's anything I could be doing better?

Thinking I'm probably going to put her to 12/12 Friday morning? I'm assuming the stretch is going to eat up most of the space left on the Scrog?

Rez holds 9 gallons of water chilled at 65. (4) airstones coming off a commercial (can't remember the size) pump. I'm currently only running general hydroponics flora series and cal mag.

Any suggestions on a bud densener? I'm going to put a dehumidifier in by week 4 of flower.

What @Lucky Luke said.
I personally like to shoot for a little over that. You can always tie off a branch and redirect it elsewhere and or top it if it gets too unruly.
But you want to give that plant some more veg time. Probably another 10 days. Maybe 2 weeks. Let that screen FILL out.
That's the PITA when it comes to scrogging. Takes a while with a single plant. The longer you veg the more you're going to get in the end. It's well worth the wait in weight when it comes to scrogging. That 2 weeks will be several ounces dry in jars inside of your closet.

There's also no reason you can't hit your 12oz goal under that net. I've nailed over your goal with one revegged plant under a 3x3 net. 600 Watt light in a 5 gallon plastic pot coated with spinout in regular promix. Cheap nutes as well. With a hydro system should easily be pulling a lb if there's really no disasters.

Update: what I'm calling day 47

33x33x7- Wanted to flip tonight buttttttt.. I didn't. Mainly because, like a dummy, I left my nutrients in my tent and they are ruined, so I won't have them until tomorrow. But, after I tucked her down, think I'm going to let it ride out for few more days and see where I'm at. I think I might go ahead and do a Rez change tomorrow and feed at GH's "transition" levels (2-2-2).

Thanks for the feedback.

Looks good when you flip it, its going to grow another 12-24 inches until week 4. If its not fully filled out its ok just makes sure you have a plant in veg right now that will be bigger than that one in 2 months... Sometimes you have to feel the room out to know how many plants of what size to fill it out.

Your going to rob yourself if you flip so soon. You need to have some patience.

Definitely let it veg for at least another week. If it's not a very stretchy indica your not going to want to tuck during the stretch. What ever you let grow above the screen will be the size of your colas.

does this same rule consist for plants that stretch 4x during flower? got some 24ks going onto a scrog and they streeeeeetch
I scrog my plants right at the start of flower. Mine ALL stretch at least 12 inches in the first 3 weeks of flower... Any time I have vegged in the room I didnt have any change in yield or quality.

pretty much, as @MonkeyGrinder said.

If it gets to bad in flower u can always set up a second support net and forget about the scrog. Thats like a fail safe. You wont get a proper scrog finish but you will get huge colas. As long as you have the head room of cause.

I was a little fast flipping this grow. I was only at around 70% perhaps and even with 4 plants (3 Northern lights and a real stretchy Strawberry Amnesia- she is meant to stretch around or over 200%), in a 3.5 x 4 net I think ill have bare holes. Light on the ground is wasted yield.

It goes for any plant under the net.
Just keep tucking until stretch is done and over with.
My nets have 1.5 inch holes. If it can be tucked under it gets tucked under and led to the next one.
I'll generally spend 45 minutes or so every 3 or so days after flip tucking and directing. I try and get as much ground covered in budsites as possible and have an even coverage throughout the canopy.
After you get the hang of it you'll go in and pretty much treat it like an unfinished painting or something and observe it. You'll see what needs to go where etc. Then get to work. Just try to avoid overlapping budsites on one branch with another branch you're tucking.
It'll take a bit of work for the first 2 weeks but it pays off in the end. Then you just sit back and watch the magic happen.

On a side note if you can dim your ballast I suggest doing so while you're in there tucking. Also wear good shades and maybe a baseball cap to block out the light. You can get Flashburn pretty easily from a HPS/MH.
Also have at least 2 pairs of fiskars.
Trim with one for 20 minutes or so and then swap it out with the next.
Have a glass of Everclear to soak the blades in.
You'll get some nice gooey hash when everything is said and done and your Fiskars won't get too gunky.
Trimming that much dope is going to take some time.
Don't chop the whole plant if you're going to wet trim. Take a few branches. Process them. Then go get some more.

Older thread that's come up and ill update my last post.
I ended up with just over a pound under a 600w in a 3 x 4 net in a 4 x 4 tent. If I had filled the net before switch then I would of gotten, idk, maybe up to 4 ozzies more ??
Would of been worth the extra week or so veg.

A pic for reference. Different strains so not a Harvest pic, just a flowering pic. Lots of wasted space especially in the prime real estate.
