First Seed Ever to germinate :D

hey everyone,
I found a bagseed a few days ago, (ive been trying to get my hands on either seeds or clones for a while, because i've never grown before and would like to try it. Ive had everything id need except seeds) and I decided to try to germinate it, just in case. Well, it's germinating. I'm so excited. Of course, I know it might not be female, and it might not grow well for any reason, but still, it's an exciting feeling.

Have you done any gardening? Are you experienced in keeping plants alive? If so, enjoy. If not, this plant can be a teacher. cn

it's a 50/50 chance that it will be female, but even if it turns out to be male it's valuable experience. Then you can buy some real strains online.

I say get them from seaofseeds. Then it will only be $40 for 3 fem seeds (special queen #1 or something else cheap, it doesn't matter cause the freebies are quality) and you'll get 6 free seeds.

Update, I found two more seeds, so I started them germinating. One of them is already sprouting. The first to sprout has been planted, and Ill have pics up as soon as theres anything to show :P thanks for your advice, guys :P

Have you decided on soil type, lights etc.? It'll take both time and money to make this work ... germinating a seed for indoor growing is a commitment. Jmo. cn

The first seed, which i planted has broken the surface of the soil, and grew nearly an inch last night. I planted another successfully germinated seed earlier today, and i have one seed just beginning to germinate. Theres still one more that im unsure of whether or not it will germinate, but 3 out of 4 germinating isnt bad for them just being bagseeds. Im having altogether too much fun with this. Pics as soon as I find my camera.

Hey, all.
Sorry it took so long to get a picture up, I couldn't find my camera, so I had to use my phone's camera. Sorry about the quality. One about 4 days older than the others. So far I'm having a lot of fun with them :D

But I did have the light too high when I planted the first one, so I believe I stretched the stem a bit. :/ How much of a problem is that gonna be?

Not too bad ... you can bury some stem when you repot your pot.
To really limit stretching, provide some blue light. cn

Update: The second to youngest plant seems to be recovering well from whatever was wrong with it before. Its growing at a steady rate now and all seems to be peachy :D

6500k range lights will promote females, so will higher levels of nitrogen. Just FYI. Sex isn't determined until after the seed has sprouted.
