First time bud rot

Hi guys got a case of bud rot for the first time on two of the buds on one of my plants. I removed the rotten bits, but left the rest of the bud. I’m about 3-4 weeks from harvest; trichomes are still clear.

Shall I cut the two buds out completely? Will the not mouldy part of the bud be smokeable?

Any help appreciated

I strongly recommend removing all bud that had any rot, once you cut out the rot you can make hash from the rest of the bud.
yes - you can smoke the non-moldy bud, it might taste like shit though. The mold itself is non-toxic, it's the same stuff that grows on grapes.

If you see more rot, be aggressive about bud & branch removal.

Good luck

Snip all the rot off the plant, then spray areas close by with H2O2.

And any harvested bud should have a bath in H2O2 water.

Check close for bud worms. Lots of time the rot starts from the worm shit.

Are the moldy parts grey or brownish?

I think it's probably botrytis rather than caterpillar poop mold

I'd cut the affected buds off completely and perform an act of charity

What is the brown?

It should be grey mold causing necrosis in bud turning the bud brown
