Holding off on flower for one more week, did some light trimming of lower leaves today. I have decided to scrog Because it seems like a very effective method in small spaces. Gotta figure out how to rig up the sscreen.

If you want a decent amount of bud I'd wait probably 2-3 weeks before flower. (12/12). They need more bulk.

And just drill holes around the rim at the top of your pots and use string to tie each branch down individually if you don't wanna build a screen.

Thanks for the feedback, I would love to wait longer to flower but the size of my box, and the size of my pots, I am afraid will limit my ability to without increasing risk and issues that come with a bigger plant in a smaller pot. But I could be wrong I have no personal experience.

Photo of the lady's and a photo of my pineapple express topping. My bagseed Is giving off a nice skunky aroma that I can sMell when entering the room after work, also when I give the pineapple express a good stem rubbing I get a very sweet but also pungent odd smell on my fingers.

Lights have been on 24/7 for

Thanks! I've been keeping the lights around 3-4 Inches from the plant. But I have been Keeping the lights on 24/7 with a about a week total of 18/6 days mixed in. The pineapple express has a very short and bushy pheno instead of the more common tall and lank pheno. I'm excited for that aswell

Hey, great journal! I have a similar project I'm starting, my texada just sprouted fully this morning, another few coming in soon I hope. Did a search for cfl journals and found yours. I've done a few cfl grows in the past and thought I'd go again. I'll be putting one outdoors in direct sun and one under cfls to watch the difference. Love how your plants are so nice and short! beautiful!

also, how many days vegging is that last pic there?
Thank you! Keeping my cfls low and cool, keeps em low and bushy :), also the 24/7 light cycle seems to keep them from stretching. Bagseed *larger plant* popped out of the MG on March 23rd. My pineapple express popped out of the MG March 25th

That's pretty good growth for two and half weeks. Looking forward to watch them flower!
Great pics. If I were you I would veg them a little longer and then train them so I have several colas on top

Thanks! I'm also looking forward to watching them flower haha, I'm taking it easy this grow. No lst Just one simpe topping for each plant and then letting her grow. I plan on putting 4 more lights atleast for the sides of her once 12/12 begins to get those lower side buds nice and fat. Also plan on veg for 1.5 weeks atleast maybe 2.5

Thanks! Right now I currently have 8 26watt 6500k Daylight bulbs. Plan on adding 4-6 more to the side growth for flower and changing to 23watts 2700k bulbs.

Girls look amazing, did some pruning on both plants. They didn't mind at all and starting growing maybe a day after. I have a photo with a Corona bottle for scale as I didn't have anything else close by haha. Going to start flower tomorrow instead of waiting. Size of pots and limited space have led to this decision. Maybe a little bit of impatience.

You should build a little led light for it, man. Just even 1- 2 Cree CXB3590/3070's cob leds would do so much better for you.

I always recommend to start with cfls, they are cheap and easy to find, and you can figure out if growing is for you without hoarding speciality equipment that'll be useless if it turns out you dont like growing.
Get better equipment once you are sure you'll use it - cfls can be reuse anywhere in the house if not for growing :p

Shane: looking good buddy! I can't make out how big the whole box is but a good guesstimate is that the plants will double in size during flowering - to help get an idea. Flip 'em and keep us posted
Cheers

If you have a plant and you are on RIU doing a log and asking questions, I'd assume it's safe to say you "like" growing.
