First-time Closet CFL Grow

Hey - I just started a closet grow. Took pictures of the operation yesterday, day 2, and all 4 beauties have already sprouted. Using 12*23watt CFLs and a 300w CFL as the primary light for now, but have already ordered a HPS that will be the primary light soon. The temp stays at about 84 deg with the lights on, 74 degrees off (20/4 cycle). I rotate the temporary pots every morning to keep things on an even playing field, and the 4 small fans run constantly. They'll be in the bins in a couple weeks. Let me know what you think!!

That looks like it will work well for now. I would have used a single smaller CFL with a 8.5" reflector with clamp. Like a shop lamp. until they get about 10" tall, this way you can keep a light about 2" away from each plant, and save on electricity.

Cool. None of the lights are more than 4-5" away from a plant, though the 2 spots in the center get a bit more light than the outside spots (Daily rotation is key). I also had to move a couple lights out of the way to get the picture so it's a lot brighter in there than it seems. Thanks!

Holla holla holla holla lemme holla atcha lemme holla atcha lemme holla.....

Haha, OK - day 6 pictures of each sprout are below. They're all about 1" tall or a little taller already. The temperature stays at roughly 86 degrees with the lights on, so I plan on getting a large box fan this weekend to use for exhuasting the hot air out of the closet. Other than that, no problems, no issues, no worries.....yet. :) Tell me what you think!

Plants are looking fine, but I have a question. The fans I use vibrate a good bit - if the plants are shaking because of it, is that bad? I know a small breeze is good for strengthening the stems but I don't know about this.

Cool. Not shakin TOO bad, just enough to notice it if you're lookin at em. Got the high velocity fan, tried using it to exhaust the air and it went UP to about 89 degrees, so now i just have all 5 fans facing the plants/lights (inward), and its at about 86.

Heres how I got my fans setup right now. The oscillating is on high facing my plants directly. Check out my sig to see how thick my stem is (something about that doesnt sound right).

Notice both fans are facing the same way to promote better airflow. That box fan should work well with the fans you already have. I still have to keep my door open for the time being. Saving up for a decent exhaust system.
