so really its my first harvest, and i dont want mold, so i wanna know if ne1 can tell me some good ways to dry buds, and keep them from molding. I hear the ideal temps are around 70 and i dont have an a/c unit to just put in my closet, so i wanna know if ne1 knows a good way to dry them, without havin to spend money out the yingyang. Preciate it :blsmoke:

However you do it, I reccomend at least five days drying. The best is consistent temperature in the dark. Circulating air. If you have some down time for your room, it can be ideal to just hang em high and keep a fan below so there is no direct air current, but constant air exchange.....

your enemies are

Light, heat, and friction(you touching your buds alot... Hands off!)

Mine was 70-75 @ 30% humidity which is a bit low....

took 7 days. Cured in glass jars over 2 weeks....

yeah i am in the same position too. but bro its really not that hard, I mean I am pretty sure you wont totally ruin the fruit of your labor if their is a lil warmth in your dry room or a minor light leek. peeps been doing it for years, some throw it outside

the longer you let them dry the better resin production mine take 2 weeks and aren`t completely dry. i give em 72 hors dark befor chopping. then hang whole plant for a few days then trim large and medium leaves, then back into dry room for another few days. then i trim the branches off the main stem. i like to leave a few small frosty leaves on to protect her while drying. once i did all my trimming then i put them in a drying box for a couple more weeks. check them frequently, when the stems snap and not bend then do your final trim and inti glass mason jars and i open them and toss around about 4 times a day for a week then acouple times a day for another week then try some out. after abot 3 to 4 weeks you can open once a month or every couple weeks. try to keep temps and humidity low as you can and dark

after my lights off for 72 hours i chop the whole plant at the base and hang whole, no trimming for a few days. it helps with resin production and to slow the dry process down, give a better flavour.
i just had a plain old card board box with a comp fan at the bottom and an exhaust at the top to allow the heat to escape and i had it in my flower room with my big fan going also. it was pretty basic you dont need to have anything fancy. it wont make it taste better.
i belive i have pic`s of my stuff in y indoor journal in y thread. i just finished a harvest a few weeks ago and did this method, seems to work for me.

ya i have the dry box inside the room i flower. no more flowering going on so my hps is off. i keep my big exhaust fan going that i use to vent flower room through my filter for smells. then in the dry box i have a computer fan at the bottom to draw cool air in and just a hole at the top about the same size to let the warm humid air escape, the pressure will push the smells and moisture out into my flower room then out to filter

i try for a couple weeks of drying for best results. it depends on how moist the buds are

no i have a 450 cfm fan venting my room so it cranks pretty good air flow and an oscilating fan in there
