First time Easy Ryder CFL grow! Hope i get to smoke 60 days from now :D

Yesterday was Day 10 -





Today is day 11. It looks pretty nice, except for the lowest two leaves i think they might've suffered from light stress cause of the foam i used at the beginning. Thanks a lot to Dookz for picking that out for me immediately! Ive + rep already

Hehe im getting really excited, im jus hoping to get a good smoke outta this at the end, not really too bothered about the quantity as such since this is my first time but more would be better of course so im trying to optimise the conditions as much as possible.

Really there is no joy like waking up and looking at your beautiful plant have grown a few more leaves or a couple o centimeters higher

there coming along nicley but add a few more bulbs as days go on and on as it will need it and remember surround the plant, if anything make aluminum foil reflectors around the cfls u get, there tons of diff ones but wen u buy the pack of cfls get the biggest cfls bulbs u can or go a hydro store they have 250watt cfls instead of spending tons of money on 30 smaller bulbs its all up to what you wanna do

Sorry for the late updates! Been busy with college project this last week . Today (day 16)) i got my parcel of Fox farms trio nutrients from amazon and i used a very small dose of Grow + bloom in a litre of water and added it to the pot. Plus i gave it 1 more litre of water so the coco is nice and damp. Just hope there are no nute burns keeping my fingers crossed . Any and every suggestions/comments are appreciated !

Yo! Yup im going to be buying 6 x 27watt 2700k flowering bulbs tomorrow and ill slowly add them while replacing the white ones. Ah man where i live (far east) its really hard to get a hold of bigger CFL's. I do plan on ordering it off ebay at some point but i drained my resources like hell just to get to this stage so i have to adjust . Yes i will make aluminium foil reflectors that would improve the situation a lot! Brr im so annoyed ive asked every electrical store around and noone even has a Y-splitter.

Btw are the burnt tips a big issue? i mean will it hamper growth in any way? I cant decide whether its because of light stress or nute burn. Anyone got an idea?

all your new growth looks fine - i dont think youve got anything to worry about

That is a huge tent for that one plant. You are losing a lot of light. Your plant would benefit a lot if your lights have a reflector or hood! I saw a huge differenc,e when i added one to my cfl grow.

Thanks man, i was a little worried and was thinking about flushing it but ill leave it as it is and continue for now Btw the leaves look a little bit dryish, not anything serious but should i raise the height of the lights? They're at 4 inches from the top right now and ive heard that CFL's lose a lot of light the further they are. Maybe a little lack of nitrogen?

Ya man i thought the same! I will definitely get around to making the aluminium reflectors for my bulbs as soon as i can. I really dont mind a smaller yeild but less potency is unforgivable ive just been trying to find Y-splitters for my cfl so that it makes things a lot easier and i could build half the number of reflectors but if i dont get it soon i will make individual ones definitely

I bought a three bulbs cheap ass fixture from lowes for like $10 put 3 splitters in it and then put 23w cfls in it and a reflector. All homemade and has 6 bulbs. Perfect for small plants

push the plant into the corner til u get a reflector, then at least you get some reflection from half of the tent

I stay in eastern asia man, only option for me is amazon or ebay. and they don seem to send electrical stuff off amazon, im going next week to best local electrical shops to gather what equipment i can, and i will just have to build the rest myself and be innovative .

I'm positive Amazon and or E bay sell what you need. Try searching for hydro stores or indoor garden equipment.

yeh, you can definitely get y-splitters on ebay - that where i got mine from
