First time grow 3 weeks in experiencing a *Problem*

I'm growing 7 plants under a 600w hps i have another bulb and ballast but they look too small to introduce more light. I am about to start lst and topping but is the yellow leaves from stress or what? Will it still be beneficial to lst and top? They're all growing fine a doing very well expect the fact 70% have yellow leaves (first 2 sets of leaves only) only just thought i had not added nutes untill yesterday and it has got no worse does this mean the plants have been ising their reserves they had stored in there first set of leaves?? They are 3 weeks old, my MH bulb comes tomorrow will be using that to vedge

Yeah in my experience the 1st set of leaves does this all the time , its my indicator thats its time to feed..
Lst and/or topping has been very beneficial Imo, I would lst a few and top the rest and see which does better for my style of growing.
But thats what I would do , my 2 cents.. Looks good.

It looks like a little lock out to me. Are you sure you did not overwater? Is your PH in check (6.5)?

how big is that pot she is in? she looks like some top leaves are clawing and i don't think you should be seeing yellow leaves...but i'm a noob so what do i know? perhaps she is root bound and because of that suffering from deficiencies?

Any and everybody is free to give out advice. How do you know he isn't a long time grower? Just because he is new here doesn't mean he doesn't have experience. You have lots of shitty comments most of the time.

ph lockout usually presents as multiple deficancies all over the plant, just yellowing of leaves points directly to nitrogen deficancy, although it is pretty normal for the first set of leaves to do this even if there is enough nitrogen in the soil it is a definite sign that you can start feeding nutrients

It just looks like the cotyledons are dying so not a huge deal. Usually when I run into yellowing leaves that early it has something to do with either Cal Mag deficiency or PH issues. Are you running RO water? What medium?

Seriously? I have been around this site a short time but people like yourself and attitudes like that are 100% one of the major issues on this board. ESPECIALLY in the newbie forum you should be cultivating a welcoming environment.

A plant this young in proper soil should not have this symptoms. This usually only happens if you a) overwater b) don't have your PH in check. Any yellowing/browning means some element was locked out to some extent. Of course a full on lockout looks different. In any case no need to be rude!
