im totally new to growing and have been given a pack of seeds off my friend. northern lights.
i have my room already prepared. floor is about 5 1/2ft by 4 1/2 ft.
im usin coco soil and gt a 400w light.
what is the best/ easiest way to get the seeds started? ive seen loads of diffrent ways but not too sure which to do.
how long before putting them into pots and when to switch light on?
also when should i put the fan on? and when would i need to put in/out take on?
i am a self confessed total noob to this so ALL help is and will be greatly appreciated.
i will post some pics of room and setup when i can next get some.
thanks

The way I germinate a seed in a damp napkin in a glass in the cabinent. After a couple days you should see sprouting. I transfer straight to soil and put the light on them as soon as I put them in soil. I run my fan while my lights are on, I'm on an 16 hour on 6 off cycle.

thanks for that. i know a little bit about what i will be doing but just looking for a bit of help/ guidence as i only know what my mate could fit in a ten min convo. lol
ive gt most of the bits to do the grow jus need the know how.

You'll likely want to section part of that space off. 2.5'width x 2.5'length x 2.5'height of good lighting is about what you can expect from a 400w.

I turn all my shit on as soon as the seeds are planted. I use a closed gladware with a damp paper towel to crack my seeds, which usually takes 2 days on top of a warm electrical device.

Then I plant my cracked seeds in party cups and give them distilled water, transplant into bigger pots after 2 weeks. As a beginner, you might kill a few plants, I would start twice as many as you want to end up with. Even if you don't kill any by chance, you can remove the weaker/retarded ones.

I use those coir/peat plug pellet things. You soak them in water and they swell up. I then put them in a seedling tray in a propagator with some extra compost around them to help them stay moist. Put the seed in and cover, water at least twice a day and wait.

Get yourself a book, it's fun reading about growing weed.
