First Time Grower: Bubbleponics

Hey I'm a new grower and I bought the Stealth Hydro Bubbleponics system. Also I got a 400 watt ballast with MH and HPS bulbs. This is my first time growing and wanted to get advice from experienced growers. I don't have much space to grow in, and was looking to set this up in a spare closet. I know the lamp gets hot and wanted to know good techniques for regulating air temperature and a good (and discrete) way of ventilating, I live on a 3rd floor of an apartment complex.
I was considering the "sea of green" technique, inducing the flowering cycle earlier. I wanted to know to maximize harvest - if you could place two plants in each basket? The baskets are 4" in diameter. I'm not to sure how two rockwool cubes would fit, or if its a good idea. But definately your advice and tips would greatly be appreciated.

Dude I started with closet growing years ago. So I can actually help you out I think. Assuming that you can't cut holes in your landlords shit I'd say carpentry work out of the question. I myself have a grow box in the closet... the advantage to that is that you can cut holes, drive screws, and literally do all the things that you can't do as a tenant. As for odor if you have it in a grow chamber of some sort then you can simple buy/build a scrubber... attach it to a fan and mount it on your box. Basically a grow box is the way to go if you rent and want to remain discrete.

Take a look at my post and then look around you will get some good ideas. At that point just put it all together, I personally like SCROG but you need to focus lots of time maintaining a full canopy. SOG is a good method if you are willing to deal with a lot of plants which personally I don't. Assuming that you have the 6 site bubbleponics I can't see SOG being very effective for producing high yields. You can get away with have shorter plant , and a faster turnover though. If you have no height issues then look into DWC type setup... although a 400 has limited penetration depth, with that system as long as you stay on top of the growth and not let it get out of hands you would you will be very pleased. You can stuff up to 6 small-medium plants under a 400w bulb and flower right after the 8th week of veg. You will need to tie em down though because DWC can produce some big plants FAST. If I had that setup and I do have one VERY similar I would do a SCROG approach. The down side to that is the amount of veg time needed to fill the trellis (screen). But I can tell you first hand that any good a well maintained SCROG will yield the same and sometimes more than a DWC.

In a nut shell build a box, light proof it, add ventilation and a scubber, then stick you bubble system in there. Look at my thread that I am starting, I actually just stepped back into growing so I am starting from scratch again. But you should get a decent idea of what is being done and how it will come out.
