First time grower Lowryder 2

Lowryder is perfect for me indoor.Is that setup ok ?
200W CFL lamp per plant 24/7 from the start to the end.
Ventilation 24/7 from the start to the end.
Growbox homemade (wardrobe).
100% natural soil ,no mixes etc.
Fertilizers.
I've found few nice guides with different info inside.....

We should compare notes. I am first time grower using Lowryder #2.

Talk to me about the soil and fertilizer you are thinking about using.

I thought about using run to waste hydroponics but I am rethinking those plans.

Here's to a successful grow :joint:

I also have some LR2 seeds. I will start 1 in a DWC in 3 to 4 weeks if you want to compare. I have also finised and smoked 2 stunted females.

You have to be on point with these autos. Any mistakes in the first 3 weeks will greatly effect yield. They will def. test your grow abilities.

I have LR2, diesel ryder, purple jems and hindu kush seeds.:hump:My last Auto maria fem. is about 3 weeks away from harvest and a DR about 4 days old from germ. Both in a DWC. When DR sexs I will plant another seed. Got a small 2 plant grow.

I can share some info that I have learned in the last 8 months with these auto's.
Your plan sounds sound. More on your medium would be a good start to make it easier to help you.

Can you talk more to the first three weeks? What are the vital things that an individual needs to be aware of with Lowryder #2 auto?

awite everyone this is my first grow, got 2 lowryder 2 goin under 250 watt dual spectrum hps (cant use MH due to heat issues) on a 18/6 light cycle. got them in 10 litre pots wit biobizz all mix watering evey second day wit room temp tap water wit 1/4 ml of biogrow...startin nutrients slow. Swappin to standard hps and bio bloom for the last 5 weeks, got good ventilation sits at 27-31 degrees and 24 wen lights off. Does this sound awite will i get sum nice smoke at the end this its taken months to convince the bird to le tme do it....lol

I am glad you got your bird on board. I wonder how many other potential growers might have a difficult time with their significant others.

It sounds like you have a good basic plan for your grow. I have heard that unsulfured molasses is nice addition when flushing the plant before harvesting.

I plan on using two 150 watt CFL (1 -warm, 1- cool light) on both of my lowryder #2's. I have GH 3 part nutes system, along with the pH tester and UP/DOWN. I have 5 gallon silver paint buckets. I will do half and half perculite and vermiculite. Do the seeding in coco coir or peat moss. The grow will be in a closet, white walls, and reflective foil of some sort on the doors that shut. A fan will be put inside the closet, to circulate air and make the stems stronger. I plan on starting 24/0 until the 3rd or 4th week depending on when buds start to develop, then 18/6 until the end. You point out some good steps that need to be taken, especially starting the nutrients slow.

If anyone has better suggestions, then I am always open to them.

I imagine if I typed like I sounded it might come out closer to what you typed phonetically. :-) My maternal side of my family trace their lines back to Scotland. Awesome Alba!

ye sounds gd only thing if your only growing a small number of plants why use all mix? instead of say canna terra pro or somthing slightly more expensive?

Does everyone find watering every other day to pretty much an average? I realize it might differ somewhat because of medium, size of pot, and strain but I wonder if two days is pretty much average for most...

I water ma plants every 2 days over watered yesterday looked REALLY saggy but perked up now woop woop. My auto lowryder#2 at 3 inches tall 2 weeks 2day but on to their 5th set o leaves....lookin super bushy but no height will they get much taller? These plants seem like a waste o time or should give it a chance to stretch? plz help cheers folks.........oh aye cheers to BUDDHA DAWG for the support.

Your plants should grow to be 14 to 18 inches (35 to 45 cm for the metrically inclined) eventually in height. If everything goes well, you will probably get 1 to 1 1/2 ounces (28 to 42 grams) from it.

Are you still doing 18/6? If plants are not going fast enough in veg state, then you might want to consider 24/0. Maybe adjust the light (closer, further, more light)? It is hard to tell with out visual confirmation. Do you have reflective surfaces for the lights (usually mylar)? This could help your plants get more light.

Lowryder #2 auto is a short bushy plant and after the seventh week (happy, happy). Be patient, those little gals will start popping up overnight.

Got the ladies on 20/4 they seem 2 b enjoying it raised the light a little though. The runty one of the two is startin 2 catch up and the bigger one is startin to side branch at every point where the leaves join the main stalk (name???) Noticed her first white hair 2day....woohoo!!!
Iv got 80% reflective white plastic on the walls nothin to hightech. Got the light about 7 inches from tops got a good fan keeps the heat away from the leaves should i raise it to get them to strech for the light? (the closer the better right?) Should i switch to a standard HPS instead o the duel spectrum hps now that she has started showin signs o flowering? Really hopin i can work out how to get photos up want to show ma babies off to someone lol.

Congrats on the plants maturing!

I use the "warm hand technique". I put the lamp as close to the plant as I would to my hand.

I am going straight t5 with CFL on the side if necessary. I will change the bulb from grow to flower in the later weeks. I am not well-versed on HPS lights, but I have heard that growers do switch for flowering. Maybe someone will be able to answer that question for you more thoroughly.

I look forward to seeing the Scotch Weed pics.
