First time HPS user

Hi, I have grown pot for well over 25 years and have used fluorescents. I am willing to give it a try and hopefully have good results. I am wanting to try a 1 plant grow with a 150 watt HPS. I know it will grow with it. I was wondering what people think of this light though? I had googled for the light and came across it. The link is below.

didnt know lowes sold hps yard lights. Would be sick to tig a few of these up in a room, dunno how well theyd work but id give it a try. Not a bad price

Lots of wattage for a single grow.Veg with your floros and flower with your HPS. (cool white for veg).Better yet, use both for flowering. What are you going to grow?

I agree. As far as wiring i would think someone @ lowes could set u up with some types of adaptor allowing u to plug into a reg socket, depends though what it comes with

hps is for flowering im using 150w hps sun system a tcp 68w 2700k equal to 300watts and a 100w hps flood light i got for 10 bucks off craigslist
and for veg i use 3 t5 and 2 24w 5500k cfl

Yes HPS is best for Flower, you can grow whole cycle from veg to flower with HPS with no problem. Most people use either CFL's or MH lights for Veg. Yes HPS are warm only, but as I said, your HPS is fine for plants whole cycle.
