i have two auto seedlings sprouting and was wonder how long to keep them in the rockwool before i move one to my waterfarm. they are sitting in coco because i didn't buy rockwool plugs and i will add coco as they get taller

i have started two with the idea that one will be a female and she'll be moved to the waterfarm, and discard the male. they are autos from a short stuff mix and i know it takes about 2 weeks to determine sex on an auto, can i keep them in here for that long or do i sex after moving to waterfarm?

btw i have 250w hps and they have algae covers as well.

when they have leaves put them under a light
make sure the cubes can drain
usually the ph of the cubes will kill a seed unless the cube has been soaked in 5.9PH water for a while
when you see roots out the bottom or when the plant is like 8" you can move it to a water farm
the rockwool cubes have a high PH

okay so the roots are now pooping out from the bottom.. should i just leave them to get air pruned or should i sit them in a small tupperware container filled with coco?

you wont be able to tell what sex they are until they're either old enough to show preflowers, which wont be until at least 4 weeks into veg cycle, or if you clone them and put the clones on a 12/12 light cycle. I would just grow the crap out of them and worry about that later.
