First time indoor closet grow. Whats wrong with my plant?? (Pics)

I started this plant for the hell of it with a bagseed. When it actually started growing I decided to do a little research. Which is how I ended up here! I want to thank you all right away, this place has been a treasure trove of knowledge!! You guys rock!
To the problems at hand... I started this plant in the windowsill and I think to begin with I did everything wrong, over watering and over trimming. Thats why it is all spindly I imagine. So after it got to about an inch below the height it is now, I decided to go 12/12 and sex it. Im on day 3 of flowering, still no sign of sex.
I guess what I'd really like to know is what are the spots on my leaves from and why is it growing so slow?? Could it be from over watering it?

Im using 5x13w 2700k cfls for lighting, my medium is Hyponex potting soil. (its what i had around, as is everything else)
Its made of hypnum peat, compost, sand and perlite.
Ive used miracle grow randomly and have just started adding molasses to my waterings.
This plant has been through hell and back, but its still alive. Some kind of bug got at the bottom two sets of nodes, which is why they are cut off, ate the hell out of my fan leaves so I cut them to cut my losses. Really didnt expect the plant to live.
All info is welcome, and I plan to keep you all updated with pics and journal entries. I planted 3 pre germinated seeds yesterday, so even if this plant ends up a loss I will have learned for those 3. Also I figure I can start learning to clone from this plant if its not saveable.
Thanks everyone! Respect for good info!

not sure how long exactly its been growing ... but still looks quite immature and stunted. Even more mature plants can take a week or more to show flowers under 12-12 .... it depends on a lot of factors. But, in few words, I would say the plant is immature and may not flower right away ...? but good luck. Sometime ya just never know. Walk on!!~~~~

Oh, forgot to say, the plant is around 2 months old, give or take a week or 2. As I said, I really wasnt planning on growing. But I have a baby on the way, well my gf does lol, and I wanted to stop giving my money away to the bagman! Know what I mean, lol.

oh yea totally ... growin ur own is the best in the world .... a little love and attetnion and fee weed. But your expectations have to be in line with the effort. and you can grow so good weed with cfl's look around the site ... lots of success in that camp ..... but the growth and potency and yield will all be a direct function of the amount of light energy, nutirent, water and clean air flow that the plant gets .....and its genetics ... from there ....its on auto. Good luck!

Ive read for the last week about cfl's and Im in the club! I just want to create a personal supply and this was a way to pop my cherry so to speak. I dont expect much from this plant, if its a she Ill be happy to get a bowl or two out of it. As for my 3 babies, I will be investing in some more lights, and nutes to get them into a respectable yield. I know what I have to get and what I have to do now, but being a rookie grower I really dont know how to diagnose this problem and it seem that there can be conflicting fixes for it. I dont want to diagnose it wrong and kill the plant, so Ill be as patient as possible with it as possible, lol.

So I just popped in to take a look at my plant, (amazing how often I keep doing that) and Im seeing more spots on the leaves. I gave it some molasses and miracle grow this morning so Im starting to think that that may be the problem, over watering that is. What do you guys think? Im all ears here.

So from what Ive been reading all day, Im pretty sure that I have over watered. I transplanted into the bigger pot today and Im going to add some Hydrogen Peroxide to my water. Im not sure how much to add so I could use a little advice there. Im still all ears people, bestow upon me all your knowledge.

Any more advice or should I kill this thread?
Hey man you should flush it, and try not to water it for two days or so; depends on the pot. Lightly spray the leaves with water down nutrients. After it starts showing signs of getting better start watering the plant with only water. Do you have a way to measure your PH? well I use one of those aquarium ph measures you know the liquid type, well I checked my water and the water was too alkaline, so to lower it use some drops or so of vinegar to make it more acidic and checked it with the ph kit. By the color of the test I say my water is 6.7 or 6.8. then after a week I would boil and egg, eat the egg but put the egg shell in a cup of water and leave it for a day, next day water the plant with that water, and leave the egg shell on top of the soil. When it needs water again, just use water with the vinegar (depending on your water) and give it nutes like every other watering sesion.

that helped me get my plant up when she was sick.

Also how are you watering your plant, and how much? Also I forgot to tell you if your water is to acidic you can use baking soda to make it more alkaline.

Thanks Pablo, Ill definitely try that. I was watering every other day, which Im thinking now is too much. I use tap water that has sat out for at least 24 hours, one container mixed with diluted MG and the other is mixed with molasses. When I water I usually just get all the surface soil wet. Im leaving it alone for a few days or until the soil gets crumbly, cuz right now it is still pretty moist. Ill make a jug of just plain water today. Should I mist everyday? I was thinking that this would recreate nature like a morning dew? Let me know what you think.
Oh yeah, Ill do the egg thing right now, since Im hungry anyway, lol. Thanks for the input!

Well I would start lightly on the mist like twice a day but for example my box has pretty good ventilation and the water evaporates quick, just don't over do it because it will burn those leaves, and I wouldn't spray when you have buds.

Thanks again Pablo. My closet has really good ventilation as well and the water on the leaves evaporates fairly fast. Ill mist it now and when it goes to sleep. After that Ill start doing when it wakes up and before bed. Sound good?

Sounds good, but don't take what anyone says as it's the best thing for you, for me that work, but your plant my react differently or it might need more or less nutrients, I'm in my first grow and literally I have read for days and days, and on some things that I wrote have little changes that for my plant worked best. here is the link to my thread.
