first time questions

iv decided to start growing my own , to make it short it would just make my life alot less difficult!

iv purchased a 90cm x 50cm x 160cm / 36in x 20in x 63in grow tent, ill be using 250w for my first time i got a MH and a HPS bulb should all be up and running in the next day or 2.

the mainnn thing i want to know is am i better off growing mor small sized plants or a a couple larger plants and also how do i controll a plants height????

with a 250W and a tent that size I would grow one big plant in a scrog, that or two small once with a lot of LST

I agree with the others, either 1 big plant or 2 small-madium plants. You want to have a short and wide plant so the light can penetrate the canopy. 250 watt isn't super strong but you can get some decent bud if you train the plant right.

first grow + not dead = success

I would start with like 4-6 and it will give you a few to kill off along the way.

just flip to 12/12 when the plants are around 1/3 to 1/2 the final size you are looking for and they should not stretch too far.

your seeds feminized?
if not, i reckon you'd better go for quantity rather than quality here.. but that's just me..

aside for lst, you could always top your plant which shortens your plant and gives you more tops! :-)

thx for the help! ive decided to go with 2 plants with lst , with my sized tent dose any one know the max sized pots id be looking to use?

no just using bag seeds ,i got a few planted so should get atleast 2 females ,ive done a bit more reading on quantity or quality by the sound's of it i don't think ill have the light for quantity ( 250w )

Easier, more small ones, more room for error on larger ones. control the height by high stress training, or low stress training, or simply cutting it back... its not all that hard... say you got a 2 foot plant u want to be 3 foot at harvest... that would naturally be 5 foot at harvest, chop it at 1.5 get more top colas, slows growth temporarily... then tie them over to the sides at a radical angle almost upside down, can take a little to do this without snapping branch off, once u have it tied down and all you can go is horrizontal in height? i would move the pot further from light or figure out some way of zig zagging the plant... you can make them into whatever shape you please really... if your out of room on all sides, you could litterally cork screew the damn thing. think of the stem as a loose noodle, and the fan leaves and foliage as expendable. they can be trimmed to shit, bent to shit, etc... just look at some of the crazy pics out there. lol

btw hs and ls are basically the diffrence of hs is causing damage to the plant permanetly, and ls being more of a bending sort of thing, incase you didnt know.

the disappointment comes with a boasted ego from looking at very experienced people grows and set ups... thinking u can get there with cfls and sub par know how and equipment, thats all... for indoor grow that will impress, you need to either ghetto rig, or have state of the art shit, and a vast knowledge of this plant, and curing. nutes, environment, etc...

take for instance, my gf's son, caught the fuck trying to grow in his room, with a fucking regular ezbake oven light... that's when i had to step in and say, that shit is going to die! and took his plant and immediately went to the store bought the shit i needed at that point and showed him the right way... hes not my son, but if he wants to grow, and smoke, damn it im inclined to show him the right way, even if its a family secret thing, and i didn't really know what the fuck i was doing either, just WAY more than him, plus im an adult and have a job so i can finance things. LMFAO
