Flower Pics and questions.

Here are some pics at 5 weeks flowering. I have 5 power plants and had to bend two down because they were about 6- 7 ft tall. Of the 5 one is noticeably more sativa than the rest. This sativa is growing some questionable buds that seem stringy and some dried up and turned crispy. Why is this? Where this occurred the tops are about 1 foot away from a 600 watt hps. Please feel free to comment and give suggestions. Thanks

we're all luvs your pics too much.....I especially like the one from beneath looking up to the light.

Burning tips? or entire bud structure? any drying up and crispy is generally a sign of heat stress. but I'm sorry I can't really think of anything more at the moment.

at my thermometer which is not by the lights the temp is 71 i will have to wait until tomorrow for an exact temp of the buds 1 foot under the lights but i would estimate it to be around 85. If the buds lower than the tops of the plants are bigger with more pistils does this mean the tops must be under too much heat stress? I do have a fan blowing down low but not up on the tops of the plants. Aside from a couple small bud sights there is no visible burning just slow growth. If i reduce the temp will the plants recover?

i grow powerplant too, but my babies are gorgeous and healthy - so its definately not genetics. the bud formation and the plants themselves look stringy, what nutrients are you giving it? also, you need a fan blowing on the tops. a fan on the bottom isnt enough, you want the tops to be constantly cooled off or the heat will stress (and even dry out) your bud. right now they look so heat stressed that the leaves, bud, and stems have all become thin and stringy to the point where it looks like it was grown under a 250watt. either get an oscillating fan and aim it at the tops so it goes back n forth, or get an air cooled reflector. or, you could put a box fan on the floor and aim it up so all the hot air gets blown upward. either way, they need to be cooled immediately or your yield will suffer..

here are pics of my powerplant clones, theyre on day 21. not tryin to be a dick, but this is what powerplant is supposed to look like hehe, but dont worry - you can maybe save them if you just cool off the area! you have an excellent light, you just need to use your hand/wrist to determine how hot it is for the plants safety. keep your temps around 80 and keep air constantly being blown around the bulb.

so the temp at the top is 93 degrees.:-| I would raise the light but its as high as it can go. Unfortunately where i live (antarctica) its hard to find fans this time of year so i had to order some. Should have them in about a week. My nutes are flora nova bloom and flouralicious. My plants grew faster than i anticipated when i switched them to 12/12 now I am just trying to make the best of this situation. If all the bud sights grow densely than i should have a pretty good yield from these 6 footers. On another note... does anyone know where to get a 16 mm hose, i can no longer move my res to change it and the drainage valve is 16 mm. Thanks!

93 is too hot,,the temp should be around 70/80 from light to tip of plant,, i think your runnin hot...cool air should not be a prob, if you live in Alaska,,LOLcool it down a bit and chill out,,no pun intended...LOL

i opened up my closet and have the window in the room fully open. This should let them cool off and also breath better. Still not much to look at. Mommy i have a monster in my closet!!!:o
