flower times

If the information says 8 weeks flower for an auto, does it mean total time or from when it starts to flower?

and i understand they are just guidelines...

As I understand it's from sprout. I hear some saying just add about 2 or 3 weeks usually to whatever the time breeder gives

i figured from sprout, but who knows what anyone means these days. lol

It is propaganda and an educated guess

It's supposed to be the time from the plants initial flower start to harvest, but like someone already said, add a couple weeks give or take. Lots of other variables can change that time frame.

Its just words - plants will finish on their own time.
Done when they get done.

Some will state from seed. Others just state the time frame and not much else. I would never base anything, plans or otherwise, on a breeder estimate.

At a minimum if I had to estimate any un-grown strain, I'd plan on 10 weeks of flower.
