Will a MH yield at a similar gram per watt as a HPS? I'm going to up my lighting and am thinking of a 400 MH with 600 HPS in a 21" by 21" cooled reflector (growzilla) or two 600 HPS bulbs in a 4' cooling tube. Either way they will be in a 4' x 2' Secret Jardin. I am wondering about either options ability to distribute light throughout the tent. And also what each would produce as a final produce and yield. I'll be vegging in the same room so it might be nice to be able to just screw in the 600 HPS when I want to flower (growzilla option). Any knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks

i've heard yeild will be slightly smaller but density of the buds will be much thicker. i have heard that MH for flowering may be better in some ways. i am thinking of trying a test my next run. i'm running two 600 watt HPS's. i could easily throw a MH in one side and an HPS in the other. i was aready thinking about trying this. i won't be ready for 3 months but when i am i think this is the way i'm going. just for fun. 
Are your lights in a tube, or how would your blend the lights so one side isn't MH and the other HPS? I might beat you to it in the next month. Yeah MH will keep plants from stretching as much as they do with HPS, so I was told. Talking to a worker at my local grow store they thought using Growzilla type reflector would equally spread both types of light, but that a 4' tube would throw the light over the room better. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks
they are in hoods. one side would have to be MH the other HPs. they would "bleed-over" on each other which may be a good thing. one side would be MH with supplemental HPS bleeding over. and vice versus. i would be a really good way to see the difference. i just have to run all the same strain under both sides. i can do that. or equal amounts of three strains maybe.
