Flowering light HPO T5 Phloro vs. HPS?

I want to flower 1-4 plants at a max (at one time) and am concerned about a few things....

Electricity bills, heat (it's in a tent), and quality of bud. I am (at least right now) looking at a 250 Watt HPS or a T5 setup that is 2 foot by 2 foot which is the exact size I need for the tent.

What other options do I have and what are the benefits/drawbacks of each. This is my first grow and is soil.

if your spot is 2X2 i wouldent put 4 plants in there, they need room for air.try to find at least a 4X4 spot then get a hps,if i were you id just stick a plant or 2 in the 2X2 and the 24'' long t5's ,it will take a while for flowering but will save power also.just my 2 cents worth, keep up the good job dr

Thanks man, I wondered if anyone was going to answer my post but the bottom line is that in actuality a 250 Watt HPS is the best choice is it not? Even though it would push my electricity bill up it would produce better results regarding buds right? Anything else you can advise me on? My tent is exactly 31 1/2 inches by the same and 5 foot tall. This is my flowering tent. I have invested quite a lot in the vegging' part so I don't want to 'skimp' now that I am in the second half of the project. I really need the pain killers, I'm so sick of doctors and their self righteous bullshit, sorry.....

250w sounds about right, and really 250w is nothing. thats 4 60w light bulbs, my dining room light fixture runs 5 60w bulbs.

I've never ran a light that small but it will likly produce a bit of heat still so you might want to look at a vented hood.

That does make sense that it would be the same as just 6 regular light bulbs, the only thing that gives me pause on that is well my bill on my 600 watt and my 8 bulb (HPO) T5's went way up (I know, what did I expect - LOL) but the fact that the 250 needs a ballast, I don't know. ai'm sure I will end up getting the 250 because I have way too much wrapped up in this so far, you know how that goes, LOL.
