Flowering problem question

One of my plants top leaves are really starting to discolor. They are turning brown like they are over ferted but she get the same meal that the the other two get. I've tried just straight water but no help. She is in a three gallon bucket and approx. four feet tall. My question is what are the symptoms of root bound and if the problem persist what would be the downfall of harvesting early with only 30-40% of the pistil being amber?

Ok, I don't think it's a root bound problem. First off I grow in 4x4x4 Rockwool cubes, and yes my plants can and do reach 4' tall. People are just amazed at this. Have you checked to see if it may be a heat issue? Say like to much heat near that plant. That or is it way to dry in that area which the plant resides? If it was a nute or Ph problem, then all the plants would be affected. And lastly are they all the same type of plant? And were they all started at the same time? Some strains finish faster than others.

As a plant matures, yellowing leaves are normal. You should be harvesting by the TRICHROME color and not the PISTIL color.

The strain is bagseed so the chances are not. Humidity swings from 40-50% with a temp of 80. Maybee the corner of the room where the plant sits the temp could be higher. I'll relocate my gauge closer to her. All three started the flowering cycle together.

bag seed or not, really sounds like a heat issue. In my opinion 80 degrees is a bit high. Any way to lower the heat by a couple of degrees? Pot plants really like 74-78 degrees, depending on the strain. Oh, BTW, some bag seed can turn out better than what it was to begin with, mainly because you are giving them better nutes than what they had growing out in a field.

Thanxx alot. I'll try to drop the heat a little. I also read somewhere when I first started my babies that depending on the trichomes you get a different type high (head/body)? Can anyone please elaborate

Firstly, a rootbound plant wouldn't show the symptoms you're describing. If the other two are getting the same feeds as this one, it's unlikely to be an over-fertilsation problem, in anycase, symptoms of that would show on lower leaves first. Without seeing what you're describing, I'd suggest the light may be too close to this particular plant, or you may have spilt some water on the tops of the leaves and they've acted as a magnifying glass to scorch the leaves.

Pistils turning amber is simply a guide to harvest times, for more accuracy you ought to be looking at the trichome colour and yes, 30-40% amber pistils would be too early to harvest. The downside would be, less yield as the calyxs haven't had sufficient time to fatten up and a 'underdeveloped' stone with less potency, probably more of a 'head buzz' up high.
