flowering question!

i have been veging for six weeks. the strain is unknown its just from some of my best smoke. i have one 15w fluorescent bulb...i know its not big enough but im doing with what i got. ive been giving it nitrogen every other time i water and it seems to be very healthy. its about 7 inches tall and i have five nodes. i expected it to grow slow so im not really disappointed. its on 18/6 right now and i was wondering if i could start 12/12 for flowering? it has started leaves from the stem so i thought i could start but i need an opinion from an experienced grower.

from what i read some people start 12/12 when they have five nodes but i wasnt for sure. but any info would be greatly appriciated.

this is my first plant ever and its been a great experience. i will post some pics soon

Sure you can do it.....would be better to wait and let it bush out a bit before you start...but it isnt required....

Yea, go for it. To be brutally honest: your results are gonna be pitiful because of the lack of proper lighting. BUT the experience will still be a good one as long as you realize that and have a positive attitude about it all.

ure wasting ure time man,u'l get nuttin off them & thats being brutally honest. i'm only using a 125wcfl on 1 plant but thats the min light u can use,gud news is their cheap, leave em veg,buy a 125w,then trans plant em into new pots with the soil up nearly to the false leaves area to prevent any strecthing & hand the light nly a couple of inches above em,then leave veg for ages, usin lst, check out my girl failena in my gallery,i vegged her for 6wks,in 3rd week of veg nw
if you grew from seed then they've really only been veggin for 2-3wks.

i started the seed in a paper towel and then i planted it
in a small pot after the first leaves started. i planted it march 5th and it was in my window for almost three weeks with just reg sunlight. i transplanted into a bigger pot and then put it under that small light. i moved it to my closet when i transplanted it. its been in there for three weeks. but if i get a bigger light do you think it will come around or will i be better off starting over im not impatient

You just gotta put whatever light on it that you can. I started with a bagseed not expecting it to sprout and then poof.. it did. I've been grabbing whatever lights I can find around the house and now don't have a bad set up. You can also go to Home Depot or Lowes or somewhere and get a socket splitter (under 5 bucks) and maybe a couple of higher wattage cfl's. It wouldn't cost too much and would get you through vegging for sure.

I agree with everyone else, you can get 4 lights and a couple dual sockets for under 15 bucks bro. But as far as people saying fuck it you wont get shit out of that just forget it, you need to all go to hell...Im tired of the haters on this site, go for it bro its all about being happy with what you do right...its about the experience man, the bud is a plus. Some of us are not expert growers and dont have alot of money like some people.
I grew started off two females with like 4 flowering cfl's i have more now that i got some more cash but they are both over 6 feet tall, one trained and bent...i expect 10 ounces from both...probably less the one is about 7 foot tall just bent.
Daisy is right...even a little more light will help ALOT...got to wall mary or homo depot and buy just one 150 watt cfl they are in the green packages...they have 6200 lumens a piece woot...you can get 1/2 a gram a watt, thats not a bad yeild for a beginner...and its all your bud...more fulfilling...;P
Good luck bro, if you need any more help with cfl growing cloning anything let me know...

Also forgot, the plants look really good for what light you got...tight node spacing is really great, i cant even accomplish that real well...lol And the aluminum foil, take that down it creates hot spots...put up some white printer paper or something like that...you will find it will get alot brighter in the grow area...
Good luck

I agree with GreenCrunchies that the plants look healthy! Really if you get more lights with more watts and start flowering I think you will be super surprised at how fast she'll explode with growth.

Even if you only get a few grams it's YOURS!! That's the best part

Yea get some cheap lights and you're well on your way. That plant looks great considering the current light. Very healthy.

hey dude im with you on all these haters, i started with just one 13w cfl also, because i didnt know any better, but i garentee it can be done, it will just stretch a lot and you wont get much, but evern just 2 more lights will help exponentially...

oh another thing i was wondering...what are the advantages of topping a plant? what purpose does it serve? just heard a lot about it and wanted to know a little about it.
thanks

Topping forces the plant to grow outward (bushier), and also creates two top colas instead of one, which is good for MOST strains. It only improves quantity, not quality.
