I have a bagseed plant that looks amazing! about 13 inches tall now and It was in a room full of lowryders. so since the lights are staying at 18/6 in that room this plant will not show sex. I want to use it as a mom if it's female so Is it ok to throw in a seperate room at 12/12 and as soon as sex is determinded put here back in the lowryder room (if its a girl) to revert to veg and continue to grow so I can snag clones off of her? pics...It's super purple!

No, don't do that. You'll stress the shit out of the plants and add weeks onto your schedule. You are much better off taking a clone of each plant and sexing the clone. Then, just get rid of the corresponding male plants. That way you can determine the sex of the plants without disturbing their development.

alright well I guess ill get some rooting hormone tomorrow.
any tips on how to root just one clone? I don't have any fancy cloners or bubbleaeroclone-o-matics or any do-hickeys like that.
I went ahead and put it back in the lowryder room.

As far as i know you can get a clone to root by applying some root hormone, throw it in some rockwool (you can put it under one of those plastic domes to keep humidity up if you want) and put it under some light, just dont vaporize the poor sucker with a big HID light. Many growers use cfls to root clones. Hope this helps

i'm with white boy smurf but i use flourescent tubes for growing clones - i keep em about 6 - 8 inches above the tops of my clones and they're usually a good size for flowering in 6-7weeks...

so I just found a friend who has a humidome. perfect! so I should keep them under cfls? how do i moniter temps and humidity in the dome? or just leave it alone. how many cfl watts are recommended for 2-4 clones under a dome? how many times to water? basically whatever you guys can feed me. Im a sponge right now for this shit.

They need very little light the first 5 days, don't cook them. Hang the lights like 4" away if they're small cfl's. Keep the temp around a steady 75-80 if you can, and keep misting them.

After 5 days they need more light to start to grow leaves, you take the dome off and move the lights closer a little bit at a time over a couple days to within around 2" of the tops.

Within 12 days they'll be rooted and obviously growing if you've done it right. You can take clones off a plant that's started to flower if need be for future reference. It's not good to cut on a plant in flower, but within the first two weeks it will work if you have to do it.

this is pretty much the first time i've heard any of this info. don't need much light the first 5 days, why is that? i thought an ideal temp was in the low 80's. after 5 days more light is needed for leaf growth??? what you're wanting is root development, not foliage. take the dome off and move the light closer? you put your light in the dome??? that's a new one on me. doesn't that totally heat the inside? i've taken clones as late as 21 days in flower. they take a bit longer to revert though.
