i might have bugs, i might have some toxicitys, or just some build up of salts i am assuming i can take care of with a flush with no worries of overwatering given that my plants use up what water i give them in about 2 days, so water is flowing good through the plant..

But, do i flush with r/o water without ph ing it because the ph of ro means nothing... Do i add 1 tsp of calmag/gallon..

Am i able to overdue cal mag in RO water?

Stinky is where i got this advice, add ur nutes or cal mag then check the ph of your because r/o is so empty if u stick an electronic meter in it, it will jump from 4.0-9.0 and everything in between trying to get a reading on it, meaning its around 7.0, and as soon as u some parts to the water it stabalizes, atleast this is what i have noticed. But the directions say 1 tsp of cal mag to a gallon of r/o water.

but my main questions is, do i flush with plain r/o water or do i add calmag to every gallon of water i use to flush the soil.

My Hanna reads Plain RO water to the +-.1 and even the cheap GH liquid/ and aquarium PH test kits read RO ---Its a liquid----its either acidic---neutral---alkaline or somewhere in-between. 5ml is 1tsp:bigjoint:. As far as the flush its a personal choice--some flush with 6.3 and close to zero ppms and others will mix a balanced nutrient solution at 200 ppms or below and flush at 6.3. Since your removing all the nutriant salts with a flush it would be less stress on the plants with a mild balanced nutrient solution but many have done it without.

can i put just straight RO water on the plants w/o any major reprocussions?

or should at the very least put some calmag in, half strength maybe, 1/2tsp

it would be much better for you to add cal/mag to your RO it will balance your water and it will make your water closer to natural, My RO comes at bout 7.0 / 10 ppm 3/4 to 1 tsp per gal gets me at the ideal 6.0 / 300 ppm
