He is talking bout flushing for harvest. 7-14 days of straight water to help remove any nutes from the plant that might affect taste.

To the op It depends on what you want. The high will change depending on trich color and only you know when its done. I personally started flushing first signs of amber trichs. Do not want to much couch lock. I have also been poaching off some of my plants so I have an idea of the type of high. I like to be stoned but still motivated to do house work etc.

Take a tester. Quick dry it or strait vape it and if you like the high start your flush.

Good Luck

sorry dude, Iswear I had a High Times Harvest report that dedicated at least a paragraph on resin/trichs and when to harvest. Somebody had to have walked off w/it....anyhow I DID find this much, it's a quote, and I go by it. "...set focus on almost transparant glandular trichomes. When ripe, most will be transparant to translucent, with a well formed ball at the top of the stalk. Buds start to deterriorate when the little ball on the stalk starts to deform and degrade.
Un fortunately, that is well past the time to flush. But that harvest report reported that 2 weeks before you harvest begin your flush.....BEFORE the trichs start to turn milky, and BEFORE three quarters of the hairs turn color. Hope that helps....

I agree, it's likely best to begin flushing when the trichs are at there prime. That way if you want amber trichs for the preferd high let tghe plant thrive on all the stored nutes so that when you have amber trichs you can chop em in time and know that the nutes are out and your bud is smooth.
That's how I take it, I am on my first harvest now, (2-3 weeks) so I am unable to say from experience but I have done my homework thru-and-thru!
I am going to start my flush this week(7)
