Flushing before Harvest, how do I know when it's time to switch to just water?

So i'm doing my first grow and things have been going great so far. I'm using a regular bucket system that has a constant drip from the top in some hydroton.

I have a few different strains all in the buckets, NYC sour diesel, Trainwreck, Big Bud, and AK-47.

Now my current issue is wondering when to start flushing, im only a little over 2 weeks into flower so I know I have some time. but to my knowledge, you're supposed to start flushing 2 weeks before harvest? how do I know when harvest is?

get a 30x or more jewelers loop or microscope from your local grow store or even Radio shack sells them, look at your resin glans (Trichromes) on ur buds and see the color. If you are growing Sativas (most of what ur growing) looks for most of the to be milky white, then start flushing. If you have indicas and/or want more of a body stone wait for most of your trichs to be amber.

Once you get the hang of it you'll just know by time, for Indicas, week 8 is flush time, sativas, week 9 is flush time. But I do one week flushing with clearing solution like Final Flush.
