Flushing before harvest is Bro Science!

If you need to flush during your grow you're over feeding.

White ash... drop the moisture content a degree or too in the bag. White ash IMO has more to do with moisture content of the buds being smoked and nothing to do with flushing. Want super white ash then get the buds down below 10%.

White ashe is definitely based on the curing practices and bud moisture. Unless some shit was sprayed on it or something to make it not burn properly.

Nevermind flushing; The important thing is to let the plants get almost completely dry, trim all the leaves, then let them continue drying in the pot for 1 week. Then chop and hang.
That's a new extreme, I'd imagine some serious wilting would occur if you let the pots "dry out" for a week. Not saying it doesn't work though, personally I prefer stripping the remaining fan leaves off when I harvest so I let them dry out only the day of harvest otherwise the leaves are floppy and stems peel off with leaves instead of the leaves just popping off and then hanging branches.

You trim the leaves b4 they droop. As i said; Let them get almost dry, then trim, then continue allowing soil to dry, then chop and hang. (and, actually i forgot to add that after trimming all the leaves, you water one more time. (a flush, of sorts)
So, it's: Almost dry, defoliate, water, total dry, plus one week, chop, hang.
