Well if they have been on water only for a week and a half I would take a wild guess there not much need to flush as they have already been flushed and continue to be flushed each time you add un nuted water. The directions on Clearex says 1/2 oz per gallon of water and not sure it's wrote on the bucket but the general scheme seems to be to use double the normal water ration.

I have a couple flushings under my belt (but I'm still new), and I ran into very similar issues. Being a dumbass I grew a sativa and a indica in the same res of nutes (DWC).

I learned that flushing early or for too long is better than flushing "not enough". The plants have energy/nutes stored in all the leaves, so when they aren't getting nutes through the roots, they will use the energy/nutes stored in leafs to continue to survive. THe leaves will yellow as they are exhausted and will eventually fall off (usually) when the plant is done with them.

It seems that you are not using any sort of leeching(?) solution (Clearex, Flora Kleen, etc...) so:

I would finish the first batch, gradually add nutes to ripen, and again, flush for 1.5- 2 weeks.

If you purchase a leeching solution (Clearex, Flora Kleen, etc...) i beliee you would only need a few days for flushing (according to the label and some input from others), which means that you could give the second batch more nutes for a longer period of time to fatten up what is already there, then ripen, then flush. 3 more weeks of nutes, and 1 week of flushing (less according to the label, other users recommend just under a week).

As I grow I learn and realize that the longer I can give my gurls nutes, the bigger and better they should get. Even if it is just a week, that could equal many extra grams that would never have been.

To answer your question: No, I do not think it will harm them. Ideally, get them nutes again ASAP and let them grow some more. A flush between flowering and rippening stages has been recommended by many experienced growers. This technique is supposed to remove the excess salts from the flowering nute solution (tastier pot), allowing you to mix a special ripening solution for the final stage before flush/harvest. From my understanding the ripening solution will be high in phosphate such as Dry KoolBloom additive which is 2-45-28. Make sense?

Hope this helps

That does help,ya ive never used products to flush so this is new to me,all in all this will be close to a 3 week flush when finished....is there any benifit to adding "somthing" to give them a little food like say 1/4 strength nutes etc?
This is my first "hydro" grow so i am all ears

If I were to add anyting, it would be organic so it will not require flushing. Oh yeah, organics don't require flushing from the plants I have read/heard.

To answer your question, I would gradually increase nutes after you remove the plants that are finished and bring it back to a normal level, then flush again. My understanding is that the ripening nute solution will be around 3/4 strength of the normal flowering nutes and will contain the most beneficial elements for flowering.

I flushed once for 8 hrs/2 waterin cycles as recomended by friend, then dumped res and ran pure r/o 1 day dumped res again after 24hrs and am runnin clearex in the e&f buckets now /5 waterin cycles per day-I have read many folkes leave it in and run it for 3-7 days dump res then pure water for rest of cycle.
2nd dose of clearex has only been in the res for 24hrs and i could dump res or leave it in for another day, what do you guys think is ideal?
