This will be my first time flushing so all help is appreciated. Do you flush for 1 or 2 weeks? When flushing do you ph balance the water? Do you use any nutes? Im using technaflora and they have a pre-harvest mix recipe. Tap or RO water? Suggestions welcomed.

I'd flush for 7+ days at least with ph balanced RO water no nutes just molasses.

What I don't know is if Cal/Mg is necessary for RO water but I would use.

no flavor it helps break down the nutes in the plant and i would go with any molasses with sulfur good luck.

does the molasses add flavor? What brand of molasses?
Molasses shouldnt be used with hydro. No matter, there is no proof it actually does anything.

To flush:
Empty, clean out your system
fill with pure PH'd water. I run the system a couple of times in a row with pure water.
Take a ppm reading. Drain and refill system, add 20 PPM of cal-mag
next morning take a PPM reading.
Drain and refill system and add some cal-mag every day until the solution only rises about 50 PPM in 24 hours.

At this point change out the solution every few days, adding under 30 PPM of calmag each time. As far as I am concerned, the crop is flushed at this point. I try to flush at least four days but at most 10 days.

Many people add sweeteners during flush. You can use Botanicare Sweet, BC Sugar Daddy or one of the other brands. These products have epsom salts added for magnesium. I have seen no evidence whatsoever that adding carbohydrates does anything during the ripening phase - but a lot of people swear by it.
