For Cooling: Intake or Outake fan?

The title pretty much says it all - I'm having a bit of heat problem with one of my boxes (a bit meaning 90+) and I can only get one fan for now - should I use it as an exhaust or an intake to fix the problem?

I would say exhaust, but thats just me.
That's what I was thinking - an exhaust to pull the hot air out, right? I'll probably put a couple holes where the intake fan will eventually be to get fresh air in...right?

Also I've usually done an exhaust up high in the box and the intake down low to pull the cooler air towards the lights..is this correct?

Exhaust fan, passive intake holes.

Any other way is just stupid (except maybe intake and exhaust, but even then, it'd still probably better to just create two exhaust fans and two passive intakes).

Read the growFAQs.

I agree. Exhaust fan with passive intake. Some people recommend that the intake hole be twice the size of your exhaust, but mine are both 6"

Thanks for the responses. Ya, now after reading through the FAQ it seems really obvious

I didn't realize it was in there.
