for ladies SIZE does matter

is it better to have a short wide pot
or a tall deep pot

it seems to me that roots like vertical growth more the horizontal
i do know that the best of both worlds are always better
but if i could only have 1

do i get the 5 gal pot that is 16in deep
or do i get the 10 gal tote that is 12 in deep

tote if you have the room.
more volume = better.

Deeper ftw, girth is important, but the ladies like it deep. Alteast imo

yeah i have a 10 gall tote
thats the same height as a 5 gal pale
just much wider
so i'm thinking should i just buy mor 5 gals or more 10 gal??

Deeper pots will give you a taller plant; shorter/wider pots will give you a shorter, bushier plant. Obviously a sativa will still be tall, and an induca short, but pots do make a difference.
