Both videoman and babygro have helped me out immensely. There are 100 ways to skin a cat and 80 of them will work. Differing opinions are only a problem when pride gets in the way. I hope that both of you instead take pride in seeing the noobs that you help learn and experiment. If it weren't for everyone here, I'd still be referencing a book that might as well have been written in Greek.

But permanently banning someone with the reason 'Because you're an idiot' isn't a particularly effective (or mature) way of dealing with a potential 'difference of opinion' I'm sure you'll agree.

i agree here too as i have caught many people posting utter bullshit. however this is a public forum and there have been others and there will be others. i called videoman out on a few subjects he can and will eat crow. not seening what transpired i really cant comment but either way there was a huge wave caused by this action.

Considering what went down yesterday, I have to applaud your maturity in not letting this sink any further babygro.

If I were in your shoes I would have been very very unhappy, the actions of videoman were that of a fascist and this is definately not a place for fascism.

This site is now and always will be a place for open debate.

i have seen this thing at least 3 times now, once you devote this time to the board its hard to walk away. but if someone feels so passionate about something there has to be some merit.

My problem with videoman was his lack of hands on experence. this gets you in trouble with high profile posting.
From my confrontation emerged a respect.

I Respect videoman not for what he knows but rather the heart and effort he puts into helping others. i strongly disagree with some of his methods especially untested. But the man is good.

Babygrow no love loss and i am sure your points a valid but you have to learn to debate in a adult fashion. when he made a ban it was making a point, or a power play. earning power on this site seems to easy. as a moderator you DONT want to be locking horns with users
