Forgot to add calmag

As my headline says. I forgot to add calmag to my RO water. It has resulted in not so pretty plants, very sad since they were looking beautiful just before the watering..

My question is, how do i make the best harmreduction? Should i just wait until they are ready for next watering/w nutes, or should i water them now with nutes(+calmag) ?

They are in smart pots

Mmm, looks like it to. Maybe a tick or so under feed to.

Simply add the cal/mg....

So, I gotta ask. What are you feeding them and at what rate?
What are they in? Soil? Hydro (includes soil less and coco).
What soil if that's it?

They looked real good after previous watering with nutes, but after this last time with pure RO, it looks like its getting worse every day..

The soil is a light mix spaghnum..

What's the pH of the feed solution right before you use it (after mixing)????

Exactly what is the media? Who made it? Is it a soil or just a Peat moss?

At any rate. That's one hell of a drop off to be simply Cal/Mg skipped for 1 feeding round!

I have a feeling you should be using a Cal/Mg based on a Cal source that did better with pH control, then adding any N.
G&H's CALi- MAGic is Calcium Carbonate based, over Cal Nitrate.. Look for a Cal/Mg that does not source from Cal Nitrate first.

Always pH to 6.5 in soil's and 6.2 in hydro applications at feeds.

Foliar feeding is using a low potency mix that you spray on the leaves.

Keep in mind that any kind of def. Will NOT show "repair" in anything but the new growth. UNLESS - it's an N issue! The leaves will change from an N def as you correct it.

I dont ph adjust it, since its biobizz lightmix. All of my other grows where i used the same soil mix, i did ph ajdust, and got told i should not ph adjust in soil.
Im using GHE floratrio and calmag from GHE aswell

No offence but, I never liked BioBizz or their products....My thing....

Did the others turn out ok? I mean this one looks like an early pH issue.....big time.

If the pH of the media is more then 1.5 pH points off the "resting" point (after watering). The amount of time the media takes to return to that "resting" point, can increase to the point that it will screw up the plant and the media it sits in.

pH instability and and pH issues are marked by certain nutrients being blocked or locked out at differing rates. Hence your def issue. Getting to the point of that? 1 simple miss in Cal/Mg use doesn't do that......

Just what I was about to advise, Calcium is very slow moving around the plant but a one off foliar feed at 2ml/L and recommended dosage in medium thereafter should help a lot.
Okay thanks. Gonna try that .. Have read different opinions if its best spraying before lights are out or when the lights are on.

Any suggestions on that ?
