found a hermaphrodite today what do i do?

Can I stll smoke it and can it still get real potent?

Do you have it with other plants? If so.. Kill that he/she.... If not grow it out and see what ya get... how far along is it? any pics?

Need pics to determine, but in my experience self-pollination does not occur until flowers are almost fully formed. I found a seed today in one of my jars I've been smoking out of for 2 months. It surprised the hell out me, one seed from an 8 foot plant. Technically, it was a hermaphrodite...but I'm sure as hell not tossing all this good dope b/c I found a seed.

female plant with male flowers and seeds. i plucked a couple of seeds to confirm and they were big, but not many. none of the other plants show signs of pollination yet.

anyone know about hermaphrodite plants and their potency?

The potency of the bud from the hermi shouldn't be effected, energy that could potentially be used for potency is only taken up when seed production starts. if the bud is full of seed then personally I would use the bud for hashish, but if the hermi isn't pollinating itself then the potency should be normal.

You guys sound like you have never smoked comercial pot in ur life. What is so wrong with a few free seeds? I have had some really great weed and found a few seeds. Them seeds turned out to be great plants.

Most people are looking for quality bud, why would you want bud that has close to the same potency as leaf just for a couple of seeds?

yeah i agree, my plants are grown from bagseed. they look marvelous, especially the hermaphrodite.. very frosty even still. i'm gonna keep them in there and see what happens. noone else has seeds yet
