I treked into the woods to check on my plant i had to put outside due to height reasons and i went a diffrent way then usual when i spotted 9 HUGE plants with some chicken wire around them. This dudes plants are like 1/4 mile away from my plant and i noticed a few of his were males.

Im not going to mess with this guys herbs but will his male plants be able to seed up my female from this distance? Should I leave a note on his chicken wire saying i have a female close , please get ur males the fuck out of here?

do that note thing! that would be halarious. and yes pollen can travel for miles...depends on the climate, and microsystems within your geographical region, ive heard that MJ pollen can travel up to a hundred miles or more. If you are doing some localized breeding, i suggest being really really careful when handling the male plants and selectively pollenate whatever it is you want to pollenate, and get rid of the males, pronto. Otherwise, you will end up with literally all seeds and no buds.

Is there any kind of screen i can put over my female to stop pollen from getting on it? Its too late to take it out the ground and move it if it has buds right? Honestly tho, should i leave a note for this dude ( i know it would be funny ) or maybe just leave his females alone and fuck with his males? This guy seems to know what hes doing from the size and good looks of his plants. I dont want to pis anyone off and i also dont want seeds in my 1st successful female.

very true. wind carries pollen...ex. allergies. 1/4 mile is not that far. if it was me i would remove his males and leave a note saying you did both of you a favor.

Dontvlet his screw up screw you up. I read pollen can travel around 5 miles

You might be on to something there. Why would an obviously good grower keep males unless he's breeding which is unlikely?

Put a note stating: Dude, these are males, please get rid of them or I will.
than wait a week or so, if the note is still there, you have squatters rights! LOL

This is what im going to do, also going to string up some thread as a trap to see if anyone goes thru there. If the thread is not broke and the males are still in there ill assume nobody has been up there and im claiming the grow. Hopefully the males wont erupt in the next week. I bring my 2 pitbulls and a mini wiener dog up there everytime i go so im good. The wiener can hunt like a motherfucker and is very alert to anyone or thing around that may cause an issue.

Lol if your going to take it make sure to wait awhile as some growers plant and forget till its harvest time.

Though they must be in buckets i asdume?

2 are in 5 gallon buckets the rest are planted in raised mounds of earth

Leave it be! What if you walk up to hang the note and BANG! Shot dead in the back over concern of pollination. IDK, I just think about what I would do if I saw some guy in the woods lurking around my hidden babies. Let fate have her way.

how would you like it if he fucked with your one female? its just me...but i will fight over my little plants. dont let that hippy avatar fool you... id kick your teeth out of your head while whistilin sugar magnolia. id expect the same if i did that to someone else... im a nice guy and im a little too old for high school silliness... but dont mess with my plants.

consider this too... motion activated cameras arent too expensive anymore. he may know you already.

i know i read on here someone was wanting to do some breeding and someone like you who thought was doing him a favor ripped all of his males out and he was super pissed, as would i honestly.. all of that hard work down the drain cuz someone couldn't keep their hands to themselves...
i think the thread was called something like so called do gooders, check it out and get a feeling from someone elses perspective..
