Hey all,
i recently started a grow and purchased fox farm ocean forest soil. From my understanding some marijuana strains cannot go into this soil so i went back to my local hydro store and they only carry happy frog and not FF light warrior. Is the HAppy frog soil the same as FF light warrior? and can i still replant happy frog into ocean forest soil? Does anyone use fox farm ocean forest and happy frog together? Any input would be great and + REPS.

Greetings!

I am a first time grower and I am using FF Happy Frog. I did alot of rersearch on this subject and found the Ocean Forest is too hot for seedlings and clones. The HF semes to be a blend of the OF and the LW. I am using a 70-30% mix with perlite in 4" pots. Some time between 7 and 10 days I am gonna repot into 3gal grow bags with 3:1 ratio. I had some burn in the first few days to due adding some dilluted Thrive Alive b-1 mixture. I was tring to follow Technaflora's recipe for success. I have the whole kit but am waiting until the transplant to restart that. Apparently the HF has enough nutes for 2-3 weeks, and adding to the mix was unecessary.Picture 010.jpgPicture 009.jpg

Light Warrior is REALLY REALLY light. Made mostly just for germination. I mean really light...like if you don't feed after 3-5 days of sprouting you will see issues. The soil is very lightweight on nutes. I ran into that this grow (my first)...used solo party cups to germ the seeds in Light Warrior. Would have been better off in a mixture or happy frog because Light Warrior is too damn light imho. So if I did it again, I'd go Happy Frog or Ocean Forest. I've germed in Ocean Forest without issue FYI...depends on strain.

Miracle Grow. Save your money for something that is worth that kind of price. Miracle Grow sustains mj growth better than FF. It was proven right here in RIU forums about 6-8 months ago in a side by side with clones from same mother. The MG plants killed the Fox Farm OF plants.
